Cunning vs Intelligence ?
Hello guys! My main character has always maxed social for leadership, charm and trade skills because you cant give those roles to someone else in the party. Whats your opinion for the next stat to increase/max? In my latest game, I am increasing cunning stat because I cant give tactics-roguery role to someone else. Also scouting has some nice party leader only perks. I can give stewardship, medicine and engineering roles to anyone else. But real problem is medicine last perk minister of health is so strong but you have to be party leader for it. This perk gives +50 hit points to every single soldier in your party when you have 300 medicine skill! So it seems like I am missing something big by not improving medicine myself. What are your opinions?
My current party roles:
Scout: Me
Quartermaster: My elder brother
Medicine: My sister
Engineering: My younger brother

The powergaming move is to have high social and intelligence skill. Cunning isn't bad but not nearly as useful as the other. You can have someone else be the scout. Tactics is barely worth taking and roguery can be raised to high level without investing points into cunning. The 275 perk in roguery is not worth the investment.

If you want a powerful lategame character go all in on intelligence with some social and fill most the clan roles yourself.

That sadly also means that you will neglect your combat skills, which can make the game rather boring. I personally have the most fun playing a warrior king/queen. The lategame is already easy enough^^

So I'm dumb, when it reads every two skill points above 200 and you got 330 skill points which is 130/2... alright okay... simple math lol

I personally wouldn't worry about making Medicine on your main character. The game can get easy late game already around when you'd finally have that anyway. Ami personally would rather spread those points into other things. I like going Cunning and doing Scouting myself and having Roguery. I'll do tactics but only 3 focus points or so.

Just 7 in social, 6 + 1 from athletics in endurance and whatever is left goes to control usually.

These should be you, you, companion, and you.

Your family members possess far better potential for developing skills, and make for ideal governors and party leaders, keeping them in surgeon position is a waste unless you wish for them to take your place as clan head so you can ditch surgeon position altogether lol.

Thank you, next time I'll make them party leaders. Can you tell me which skills are best for party leaders other than steward? For example, does having a high leadership affect anything? ( for family controlled parties)

Leadership is good as it has party leader perks and helps affect the troops' morale. Scouting can also be good to help them get around and outrun larger parties.

I use to skill Intelli and Social and let absolutely unsjkilled the cunning.
So, the scout is one of companions - mostly there are some of them with 100-150 th skill in scouting.
By the way, is a battanian scout better then one of other faction? I mean does the racial battanian bonus work in case of companion scout?

No, the culture bonus is dependent on the party leader, you. So you only get the Battanian forest bonus if you yourself are Battanian

Scouting is more useful than most players realise. There are many useful party leader only perks in this skill. But for me, the real killer is "Keen Sight" perk. Combine it with "Mounted Patrols" perk of Riding skill and prisoner escape chance in your party reduces to ZERO. You can collect every single enemy lord in your party and never worry about them escaping. This perk is BIG! :steamhappy:

Try the fourberie mod. It makes roguery relevant
