Your companions can form a party like any other lord. They will recruit troops like other lords, but they cannot form an army or join another lords army. Only yours.
Getting to clan tier 4 though is going to take some work and will require a lot of renown. What I would suggest is taking a weak fief and just try to defend it. Defeat any armies that try to siege it, this way you don't need to go searching for enemies, they will come to you. Once you get tier 4 you can make your own kingdom.
Heroes are the lords and ladies, wanderers, and nobles inhabiting the game world. At the start of the game you are the only member of your clan.
In the clan screen you can see your banner, clan leader, clan name, clan tier, finance and four tabs labelled Members, Parties, Fiefs, and Other. You can click your banner to change it at any time. The same is true of your clan name.
Yes, your heroes can command their own armies.
Clan 4 will take several hours.
I mean if im not under any lord command and independent from any kingdom. In other words, can i have some villages but not any castles or towns as independent . I learned that i can be granted a fief [ village for example ] when serving a Lord.
Renown is earned in battles and tournaments or by cleaning out hideouts. So the best way to do in early game is to hunt down looters and the like.
Once your clan is Level 1 (which is a requirement for the quest "Rebuild your Clan") you can join any lord as a mercenary. And once your clan got enough renown to move to Level 2, you even can become a vassal.
And once you're a vassal and once you take part in army battles, you usually will earn renown rather quickly. Also, if your party is big enough to take on single lord parties, you also will earn more renown than fighting bandits.
