Whom can I marry?
I'm wondering who exactly qualify as eligible wives? Can I marry any named character like the ones in cities, or can I only marry nobles?

Also is it possible to marry Empress Rhagea? Because I'm an alpha chad like that.

Search through the Heroes section of the Encyclopedia.

Accessible by shortcut with N.

That's one way to find a spouse.

When you go to a keep just talk to everyone inside and see who wants to flirt (I mean, ask philosophical questions/interrogate you).

After a lot of frustration with marriage (so realistic though), I'm hoping this update will improve things a bit because it was getting old running around to every city and castle and failing 94% favorable speech checks. The patch notes make it sound like they added more nobles to choose from.

Hm Ok so it's just nobles? I thought about marrying companions, or like the guild characters in cities, etc. Basically anyone with a name should be an eligible candidate.

Should be, but they aren't.

As of the recent patch I think marriage is disabled

You can if you get the mod which replaces Rhagea with another emperor or empress, The only way.

Strange, since they increased the marriage age to 45 with 1.4.1. I still think they should just lower the starting age of the character.

The reason you can't marry Rhagea is due to game mechanics. You cannot personally marry clan leaders. This is likely because your spouse becomes considered to be a member of your clan once they marry you. Note that while you can't marry a clan leader yourself, you can offer children or siblings in marriage to them (though I imagine Rhagea will likely be dead of old age by the time you're able to consider that).

Unfortunately, you can only marry nobles. The notable NPCs in towns and settlements are not available for wooing and neither are your companions. Futhermore, only unmarried nobles are eligible. To find out if they're married, just go to the NPC's page on the encyclopedia and go down to the family tab. If they have a spouse listed there, then they're not eligible. There is also the age factor as well.

It would be nice if there was a filter to see candidates
