How is the game's development progressing?
Hello, I played the game for about a month when it was first released. Since then, I’ve checked in from time to time, but I haven’t really played for about a year now. I’d like to start again, so I’m wondering how the game is progressing. There weren’t many activities to do in the cities; we could only buy workshops that generated income. Have there been more interactive features added to the cities? What’s the current variety of missions like? Could you give me a brief update on any notable changes or improvements in the game? Thank you!

Nothing changed, beside invisible small bug fixes, the development stopped longtime ago.

Gotta wait for Mount and Blade III at this point, and hope for the best

There is literally nothing progressing at all.

Based on previous patches, major patches contain some new features, bug fixes, and various minor changes - damage/armor, etc.. Nothing currently in the game has been revisited. If you weren't a fan of the game before, odds are a new patch won't do it for you. If you're waiting for some specific feature to come into the game, maybe 1.3 will have that, but we have no word on what's in it.

Thank you all for answers. I guess I will look for some mods.

The game is finished except for the occasional bug polish. This is intended.
The game is also intended to be modded.

Here's a small list of QoL/Immersion mods I use with the current 1.2.9 version of the game, since 1.2.9 above is still being mod patched mostly.

The AI is still broken and the end game is awful. You'll have fun for a hundred hours and then probably uninstall. Fun game that was a hugely missed opportunity. It is what it is.

The game is still unfinished, like, even if they are in the trading menu, you can't trade castle and towns. Workshop leveling has been removed. Troops are still traped inside hollow building in besieged towns, etc.
Warband is a better game.

You can trade castle and towns.
My troops do fine.
Workshop leveling is re-added and improved with a simple mod.
Warband is no where near better lol

No your troops don't do fine on some map or you are not besieging towns, you have to stop the attack and do a fast battle to save the day.
Mods, yeah you can do everything with mods...
And no you can't trade towns and castles with the vanilla game.

You need to get the right perk in the trade skill tree and you can trade fiefs, and yes in the vanilla game.

Some fiefs still have issues with troops might get stuck inside a wall etc, but if that happen you can always retreat and then auto resolve. Is it annoying? yes, but not game breaking.
