Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Will this game be available for steam deck?
Im thinking about buying steam deck and this seems like such a perfect game to play on the steam deck platform. Is there any plans to make this available to the steam deck?

That'd kind of be a big "ask."

I assume one would need at least the mid-tier storage solution. Also, while it's running a Linux-based OS with the ability to run some Windows games, full Windows compatibility would need a user-installed Windows OS. (I think?) That's doable, according to reports.

The floor performance mandated by Valve was "run anything at 30fps or greater" and at 800p. I think that even if Bannerlord could run, it'd probably push the fps down to limits that gamers would not find suitable for play.

If Linus users get comfortable and happy with the Linux port, and I assume there is/will be one, then the answer would probably be "maybe, but you won't like the experience."

You're not coming off as if you understand the technology. Why wouldn't proton work?
It works on linux just fine. Steam deck is linux. You need to have quite low gfx for stable framerate, best to use when docked.

He doesn't know it existed clearly. Also the thread is a year old?!
FWIW, SD compatibility is marked as "Playable" on store page at the moment. Only controller-related issues are listed.
It works fine

Steam Deck has no performance difference docked. You're better off playing at 800p if you're concerned about performance than the 1080P+ native resolution on monitors anyways.
