That "bug" has been around for years. Every time TW posts they fixed it, it comes back. As I have posted before, I think it is intentional on the part of one of the developers as a political statement.
So that I am clear, there is no toggle from civilian to combat. When you click on civilian attire it is only to allow access to town clothes. It is impossible to "be in civilian mode" because of a toggle or setting when in normal gameplay outside of towns.
Are you absolutely certain she has battle gear on when on that selector?
Yeah, I had to kick her out of the army, change the leader, and she came back wearing the battle gear I carefully selected. I always have females wear closed helms for the sake of realism because they actually need that armor a lot more. Honestly, I'd prefer not to have them in battle at ALL, especially when they're pregnant, because that's just goofy, but I only have so many people capable of leading a party early-game, or becoming lieutenants. If the ladies have the skills, they're going to war.
Anyway, the issue is fixed for now. Thanks to everyone for helping me narrow down what the problem was.
