Toggling Civilian and Battle Outfits
I know we can do this in the inventory screen, but I guess I left my wife's outfit on civilian after setting it up, because she's going into battle wearing a dress. She's also leading her own party, so do I have to remove her from that and swap her outfit manually, or is there some other way to get her back into her armor?

If you are not having mod issues, you must have placed civilian armor in her battle slot. The only time you should see civvies if in town scenes. In combat you should always see what is in the normal slot.

Unrelated, but I think Civilian outfits was a mistake. There's a certain bug right now that allows men to wear women's dress and they'll have breast. It's ridiculous.

This is vanilla, so I shouldn't be having mod issues. Still, she's riding around in that dress. I'll just try pulling her out of the army for a bit and see if that works.

That "bug" has been around for years. Every time TW posts they fixed it, it comes back. As I have posted before, I think it is intentional on the part of one of the developers as a political statement.

So that I am clear, there is no toggle from civilian to combat. When you click on civilian attire it is only to allow access to town clothes. It is impossible to "be in civilian mode" because of a toggle or setting when in normal gameplay outside of towns.

Are you absolutely certain she has battle gear on when on that selector?

No, thats just filter button, not change mode button. It's like you have 2 set to show, 1 will show in combat outside of town and 1 to show in town when you walking or do combat quest in town. Example : fighting thugs in town then you will use civilian set thats can't use heavy armor. Civilian marked equipments can be use in normal slot but equipments isn't civilian marked can't be place into civilian slots.

Yeah, I had to kick her out of the army, change the leader, and she came back wearing the battle gear I carefully selected. I always have females wear closed helms for the sake of realism because they actually need that armor a lot more. Honestly, I'd prefer not to have them in battle at ALL, especially when they're pregnant, because that's just goofy, but I only have so many people capable of leading a party early-game, or becoming lieutenants. If the ladies have the skills, they're going to war.

Anyway, the issue is fixed for now. Thanks to everyone for helping me narrow down what the problem was.
