Each mod is made by an individual or team. They aren't all part of some collective. Are you expecting someone out there to keep track of every mod and what version(s) it's compatible for?
If you're asking why haven't mod authors updated all their mods, you would have to contact each specific mod author. The best you'll probably get is someone sharing the mods they're using and the game version they are running.
I do understand that modders are indiviually working on just their mods, thank you!
On the steam workshop page, at the right side of the list with all the mods, there is a list called 'compatible versions', where you can check the version you are playing - and get presented with the compatible mods. This list features earlier versions of the game, but not the last two (1.2.9 and 1.2.10)
I have waited for quite a while for the page being updated to feature at least 1.2.9 (like all other versions), but it's not happening... So I would like to find out, how to encourage this, since it has been quite a useful feature.
You may just have to search for mods you want and read the authors description.
