Trading skill level limit 240?
I created a character with one trade focus and after leveling up to 228 I see that the leveling will stop at 240. Sociality characteristic is 10. Should I have created a character with 3 focuses at the start to achieve the maximum leveling of at least 300 points?

you can get over the limit... its not the real limit

only important is, to have a lerning rate like 3 or 0,7 . you will get more skillpoints.

with 5 / 5 (attribute / skillpoints) the skill-max is 260
with 7 / 5 the skill max is 289

most player use this both for the 250 and 275 skill.
(i never use trade, i assume you need 8 / 5 for 300+. but im not shure)

It's not the hard cap - it's the point when you stop getting the full XP bonus. The hardcap for 10/5 is 330 or so (i.e. the point where you completely stop getting ranks regardless of how much you continue using the associated skills)

Does that mean I just need to keep pumping trade? But what about the other examples where without the green zone we can't pump skills? That's the only thing that stopped me.

Keep going, yeah. You're sitting pretty on x12.5 xp. It'll drop and go red when you cant raise it any longer.

Does the learning limit mean anything to you? I've reached the learning limit in other skills and they don't grow. So why should that move the learning limit in trading?

You haven't reached the learning limit in any of the skills in your screenshot. The level number is displayed in red for skills that reached the hard cap.

XP gain slows down a lot as you approach that hard cap, but it's easy to hit a hard cap for skills that have extremely high XP yield actions. For example engineering goes up extremely fast when you're personally killing defenders with siege weapons. You can literally make something like 20 level ups with a single shot that knocks out 30 men on the wall.

I KNOW it! I don't know if the skill will increase above 240? No one can tell me if it will or not. I'm almost at 239, but I don't see the point because I probably won't reach the cap. And why is there no increase above 240? I did EVERYTHING for this! I traded so much to get the last perk, and the developer lied to me? Is he a liar? Is this a special way to torture players so hi enjoy their suffering? WTF?

Skill cap with 10/5 is 330. The green is just where you have a bonus to skill increase. You will continue to gain skill after that point.

What else should I do to level up to the max?! Why can't I level up any further? Why is the developer lying to me?

I already told you that the cap is 330 for a skill with 10 attribute and 5 focus points. It will not stop at 240.

At first you will not even notice the reduced XP rate. Later on it really slows down.

You'll need multiple big trades with tens of thousands of profit for every skill point eventually.

Yeah, I see it. the 240 is in yellow, not red. That means it's not capped yet.

But the pumping has reached the limit. It is written, the limit is 240.
