You got the reply your post warranted. Maybe you should use some spacing next time? -)
Thank you for sharing this information.
This is the mod I used when I was running the mod. Based on the comments, some claim it doesn't work on 1.2.10, for others it does. My guess is other mods being used are causing problems.
i use this one
While not entirely up to date as you say, its still some measure of information, thank you for sharing that.
Would you mind sharing your load order that was working for you?
With all mods, install it and play around to see if it works. If you're running into problems, my guess is it conflicts with other mods, seeing as some people are using the mod with no problems.
I appreciate your informative input giving me a clearer picture of what should work and doesnt.
Ill post more on this one if it looks like not not working... at least as well as its expected to, I really would like to see the limit raised to higher levels. Not sure why 2048 was selected.
I stopped using the mod because I was having some instability in battles as I also use the Reinforcements mod which allows additional parties to join battles mid way. This can sometimes cause battles to surpass the 2048 hard limit and crash.
The game itself sets the limit to 1000 because horses also count as a unit in battle. So if you had 500 cavalry vs 500 cavalry, you're at 2000 total units in the battle. It's pretty rare to have this, but the limit is in place to prevent crashes.
I did have fun with the mod - big battles are always fun - and I wish you the best using it!
Could be it was a number they settled on to ensure the stability of the game engine. They done wonders in regard of allow huge battles of this nature, but pushing the boundaries wouldn't necessary give a good result. As you said the mod did cause instability.
