CAN´T PLAY the Launcher closes right after open it
please help i wanna play the game but the launcher always instaclose. i do not play with mods, drivers update everything is up to date. help

use the taleworlds launcher in your folder instead of the steam play option

doesn´t work for me sr, i tried doing it as admin and neither.

I had the same issue recently but its likely we dont have the same cause but i`ll explain my solution as it could help others when they search for a solution.

I had been holding off on my version for a long time and i updated it and when i went to start my game after deleting all my old mods it wouldnt start, id click play and it would just close.
So this is what i did.
1. Validate game files
2. double check i had deleted all my old mods
3. Go to C:/ documents/ M&B bannerlord and just delete that whole folder, you could probably leave some information in there but i deleted the lot
4. Launch game
5. then found the mods i wanted after game started making sure their version was the same as the one i planned to hold my game at

This worked for me but may or may not work for you

Don't suppose you got that "onedrive" crap active, so it got files stored in the cloud that come back to bite you in the ass?

I have started it from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\bin\Win64_Shipping_Client and then Bannerlord and it immediately sent me inside the game without the launcher and that worked.

Update: I tried to look for Config settings in documents and it wasn't there and when I went inside the game it said config error. Plus I have Gigabyte 3080 and it should work fine but it says I only have 485 MB GPU which is not correct, something wrong going on. https://imgur.com/tIZJCT0

Let me guess you got an onboard gpu on the mobo, or a cpu/gpu combo, and the game set to use this rather than your deicated gfx card.

I am not sure what the mobo or the combos are but these are my specs
Computer Specs:
OS: Windows 11
GPU: Nvidia Geforce Gigabyte RTX 3080
GPU Driver Version: Updated to last version 551.52
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 6-core Processor
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5 32GB
Motherboard: B650M Aorus Elite AX
Storage Device (HDD/SSD): 2TB SSD

I checked the selected adapter and it has it on AMD Radeon Graphics and not the RTX 3080, but when i switched it to the RTX and restarted it went back to AMD.... weird.

That motherboard got onboard graphics. If the game is set to use the onboard gpu rather than your RTX 3080 I guess you get issues.

You could try go into bios and turn it off and see if that helps.

Just don't use the native launcher. Grab the Novus Bannerlord Mod Launcher. Way better and will make you happy again.

I stopped using the native launcher for years now. No more problems.

Dude u are amazing, thank you very much! The launcher still closes I am guessing because there is no config file but I went to bios and closed the AMD integrated graphics and realized both my monitors weren't plugged to the correct place and always had problems with black screens now hopefully that fixed it which was a much bigger issue for me and hopefully now everything uses the RTX 3080 instead. Thank you :D
