The game has not changed since launch.
I don't mean there hasn't been bugfixes, or new maps. But realistically, if you played this game on launch and now, you would not notice any difference. No new substantive content whatsoever. I remember the excitement about the baseless rumours of elephants being thrown around. Led to nothing. I hope this is because they are working on Bannerlord Viking Conquest or Napoleonic Wars or something, because if this isn't resolved in 6 months this game is dead.

they did more than just bugfixes over the years though and you instantly notice differences when you play the early access launch version and the current version, especially in samller elements

units now can use a ladder (ok, this improvement sounds stupid, but is important) and you can destroy a faction with conquering all fiefs. ( no bandit kingdoms raiding all your fiefs)

and lern to avoid rebellion in your kingdom, is a big challange for most "new" player.
(if they dont use mods)

edit: i dont know, you mean early access or full release "launch".
and no, the game will never be "death". maybe 6 years but not 6 months.

Actually valuable gear from loot rather than vendor trash and the ability to recruit captured lords would be at the top of my personal list of most important changes.

Valuable gear ?
When you fight other kingdoms, the lords armies can be quite generous.
Already got the most expensive and OP gears on several of them. Better to attack isolated army 1v1 to get all the loot.
And something important to note (it seems this problem is from EA...or maybe it's some mods, or my character doesn't have enough in trade so it's intended, IDK) don't only check the value, I prefer to order by type then check myself as for exemple, when there 2 stacks of 1 very good item (that is showed let's say at a value of 1200 by the game), I take it then the other one shows now 5k of value...(for exemple)
I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff before to discover that.

i played both the early version of the game and the latests version. there's literally no 'actual' change in the game. dont fool yourself.

according to this pace, the game would be complete in a century or two...

i call nonsense on this take and suggest that you try the earliest version of the game available in the betas and then come back here.

You said it yourself - baseless rumors that led to nothing. What were you expecting?

I think this game is pretty barebones, but it's the game TW said they were going to make. If people got themselves hyped up over imaginary things, that's on them.

I remember I played on launch, and just play the game since some days.
I haven't seen any big changes to the game, but surely I haven't noticed.
Can you tell me what deeply changed or what they added ?
FiftyTifty Jun 22, 2024 @ 6:37am
Vanilla still has less actual game to it than Warband, and there are features still blatantly unimplemented. Like the diplomacy barter menu just has empty tabs, bandits are still just set pieces (and there's only 1 hideout map per bandit type), crime is less deep than Fallout 3's crime system...

While the combat is fun as heck, it makes Warband look more polished, and Sid Meier's Pirates an AAA game.

you can go thorugh all the patchnotes yourselfe if you want but as example for a deep change they made i use the pre battle deployment and unit grouping changes and of course the battle terrain system.

but as i wrote in my first comment its lots of smaller things like providing a dedicated sandbox mode with no main story or the ability to create your own kingdom in the story campaign without having to do the story missions, letting you actually choose the soldiers that go with you when you attack a bandit hideout, wheather effects on the campaign map that have an impact on campaign map movement, battles and auto battles thorugh debuffs, being able to let your formations target a specific enemy formation and lots of other stuff.

statements like "The game has not changed since launch." are simply objectively wrong

patch 1.2:
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/261550/view/3692434931946503187
Added a total of 4 new bandit hideout scenes for the desert, forest, seaside, and mountain environments.

You never fought large armies before while have high roguery skill have you? You be drowning in "good" loot.. legendary items etc.

i like the game a lot but i have to agree. cant craft bows or armor. no diplomacy other than declaring war and truce. only a handful of colors for the banner, no ships or boats, enemies dont shield bash or kick during fights, caravans are sort of useless since they get destroyed quickly
