- outright cheese flavor
- the balance flavor aka "buff the way I prefer to play and nerf other stuff"
- more blood and gore flavor
- naked amazonian warrior flavor

Yes this games seems a little underwhelming in terms of diplomacy, intrigue, lack of diverse clans/factions. There's a "Viking" faction, but no option for sea raiding... I could go on. The perfect game would be combat like Bannerlord 2, a big map with as many diverse factions as Total War along with its political events, & a dynasty system like Crusader Kings 3

I don't think that without mods the game would be boring, but I believe that with mods it becomes more fun, the Vanilla game is very complex, the battle system leaves something to be desired, but it has some very interesting mechanics, such as blacksmithing, or managing castles and cities.
But there really are a lot of mods that extend the life of the game, and that's great.

Sorry you're used to the nearly unmodded Bannerlord! Warband mods breathed life and creativity and fleshed out the beautiful skeleton we were given. Bannerlord 2 is at best an unfinished product and at worst a great disappointment

There will never be a "good" LOTR mod for Bannerlord. There will never be a good Pendor, GoT, Persino, or hell even a Floris to make the vanilla game refreshing. Diplomacy being a damn near requirement and needing a FOUR MODS to even have it function because the devs couldn't make a proper modkit is embarassing

Sadly, considering the frequency of mod-breaking game patches, it is nigh impossible to make any total conversion mods. They simply require too much carefully-assembled work to risk a complete re-build just because Tale Worlds decided to yank the rug.
