You've also misunderstood how the troops work, they do not need to be bandits. you can staff them with 10 recruits if you want. the only difference in what troops you staff them with will be how much time you're given to get there in the event of an alley battle.
Well, some people need to have the game on easy mode, and not how the creators made it -)
God forbid you have wars in a game that is all about wars and battles -)
I would like to have some of options from this mod, but 90% of it to be thrown away, tbh.
They have to ignore it.
They announced a Thievery/Brigand sort of gameplay experience being possible in Bannerlord long before the Beta. They described it as being able to run a Criminal enterprise across many towns, etc, and showed clips of scruffy bandits strong-arming the civilians and talked about the player basically running some kind of racketeering operation.
Well, that sounded cool, really. We didn't know where it was going to go, but it was a highlight bit in the dev promo reel, so it looked like it would be fun.
It wasn't in the EA. Alleys didn't get added until just before release.
The thing is, they're sort of like a "Workshop," which isn't bad itself. I think they do something with Town mechanics? I dunno, maybe that was my own idea I have inserted as wish-upon-a-star headcannon.
But, that "Crimelord" sort of favor they pushed in that reel isn't actually anywhere else but the player's head. Well, unless you count the Perk system... (Which you shouldn't, since being a crimelord doesn't have a lot to do with watching the game unlock super-powers when you click a button.)
The reason they have to ignore it, though, is that to add more features to it would mean they're supporting "alternative play." Alleys are not there to support alternative play, they're there as another type of Workshop and the "play" must be in your head and not in the game.
That's not even terrible... But, think of what they would need to do in order to flesh out a criminal enterprise racketeering operation in Bannerlord.
I could write it here, but just think of owning your own Bandit Hideout and taking over other types of bandits, owning safe-houses in cities, running gambling, hiring our your thieves and assassins for campaign-map level work, unbalancing town variables, sabotage for profit, struggling against other bandit leaders, maybe even a nemesis or hiding from law enforcement and the King's agents, etc..
To make a progression and entirely new game mechanics to draw worthwhile attention to criminal/alley play requires a heck of a lot more content work than just reskinning Workshop mechanics. And, they do not want to have to do that.
IMO - They just want alleys to be low-profile game additions to fulfill their promise and to let them tell people who want to be bandits "well, we put Alleyways and you can hire/promote Brigands in the game and put those point-things in the point-thing collection sheet for super-powers, so I don't see what you're so upset about."
That's actually the smart move from their point of view, IMO. This is a "battlez fightin' gaem," so anything that is focused on not-fighting-battlez shouldn't take priority, i guess. (Oh, Blacksmithing... yeah.... I had blissfully forgotten about that.)
A big hefty mod that makes it possible to become a Bandit King would be very nice, especially if it had an alternative playstyle that allowed for criminal-only progression and gameplay features to give the player the power to alter the campaign map in similar ways that a Lord or King, could. There'd have to be battlez fighting, tho... That's hard to shoehorn in there without it getting silly. :) Maybe "Buy a Lordship?" Bribe a faction leader to bestow some crappy lordship on the Bandit player?
Damn you're dense, but i'll lend a helping hand and spell it out for you.
One of the main point is to get a kingdom and conquer, so there's obviously a need for progressing difficulty. How are you supposed to grow bigger if from the instant you have a kingdom with limited resources, other kingdom that are already established and much richer can wipe you out for no reason ? Beside Money, you simply don't even have enough lords & companions to grow an army big enough, you have zero fighting chances.
There, do you understand now or should I get the alphabet soup ? :-)
So what you are saying you are terrible at the game and need crutches. I get you -)
How dare people not be pro player at Bannerlords2, how can't they handle such flawlessly designed diplomacy aspect lmao.
Congrats on being a Pro-Gehmer a Bannerlord2, you're a big big boy, feeling better being condescending ? :-)
Obviously if something is criticized, it cannot mean that the game is flawed right ? It's perfect and everyone talking bad about it are just "bAd GaHmeRz"
Here, have some jester points, you surely earned your pittance <3
PS: Can't wait for your next cringe reply -)
Destabilise the town to the point of that town loosing so much influence and gang leaders so the soldier resupply is week. And you can literally place any soldiers there in alley they over time become "thug",depending of the tier of the troop will they become master or lesser "thug". The alley system have so much nuance, you just dint play that much and just surface lvl tested it.(pesant)
First time I created a Kingdom in Bannerlord, I got trashed, didn't fare to well the next time either. Thing is to learn from your mistakes, learn and progress, not keep repeat the same moves over and over and epxect a different outcome -) I'm not a pro player, I just learned from my mistakes and adapted playing the game.
Creating a kingdom as soon as you got a fief and got a small party doesn't do you any favors. Create a kingdom with a handfull of fiefs close together, good sized garissons and maxed out clan parties, different situation.
Oh, and give people clown faces is just give them free points to spend in the shop. So uh? Thanks I guess?
From the moment you decided to reply like a little ♥♥♥♥, your opinion and experience became irrelevant ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Here, have more jester points. You visibly understand more the value than the meaning -)
I'm sure type every second letter a capital one make you out to be very clever -)
If you think a clown face bother me you must be new to this forum.
My point still stand, using mods to compensate for being bad (bad as in not seem to want to learn) at the game, doesn't make you any better. Sure, it will make YOU have a better time with the game (with the help of crutches). That is the nice thing with mods, everyone can modify the game to their own liking. But none of these mods need to be part of the vanilla game.
