Speed modifiers?
How on earth do I view them? I've seen so many discussions where people say 'just mouse over your party speed', but nobody has ever said anything about what that is.

I'm just trying to figure out if I bought the right kind of horse for my dudes...

Edit: its ok guys I understand the basic game mechanics, literally just want to know how to see what is affecting my party speed. What do I do.

What?

As long as the people ride any horse, they count as cavalry. It doesn´t affect the party speed if You ride a different horse. If infantry have some spare horse, they count as footmen on a horse.

And the party speed is in the lower right part of the map - and if You hover over it it shows all modifiers, like others said. In general: bigger party = lower base speed.

While realistically the party speed is off anyways, as IRL the speed of the party would orientate at the slowest member, no matter how fast the others are.

Edit:
The type of horse is for battles only - like in "battle speed". While the player and the companions / family member with inventory screen are the only ones who can ride pack animals, which don´t count as mount for other infantry...

you wanna see the party speed modifier?

bottom right corner u can expand the UI, it list party speed

genereally horse riding perk and scout perk is the main skilltree for party movement speed

as long as u get 1 infantry on horse, 2cavalry 3 not herding animal/not overweight, u will be fine

shorten disorganized state also helps

By default, your speed is hidden from view. There's an arrow in the lower right corner. Click that to expand that part of the UI, and you should see your speed stat. If you want to confirm it, hold down Alt while on the world map. Your party name (<character name> party), and a number. That number is your speed. There are a lot of factors that play into it. When you mouse over the tooltip in your UI, it will give you a breakdown of everything currently affecting your speed.
