You keep saying the same kind of stuff again and again xD
There's a difference.
Is it time for the 'Is this game abandoned?' posts again?
Where does the time go?
That means the little co-op fanbois will be here soon asking for co-op campaign.
And we haven't had a 'Wah, wah, wah, looter killded mah cataphract with a rock' discussion in so long, I hope the little fellers are OK. (They may have gotten sidetracked by the 'How can man with stick block my knight charge?' crowd.
Ha! I know I have seen you around in other forums, so you know whats up. The heard cant keep grazing in one spot, they have to move around. keeps it "fresh"
Nevermind yep that's what it is. Weird.
No, from....1.2.9 to 1.2.10... you know the difference right? 9 and 10? -)
"Fixed a crash"
"Fixed a bug"
Or to quote some guy out of the official forums:
"Finally a worthwhile patch to bring myself and the masses back.
I applaud you and the team for really getting stuck in over these years since EA and tackling the core problems with the game, even at the expense of the radio silence - although it did lead forum abandonment - was worth it, which is clear to see now. It WAS literally unplayable, dull and freakishly bare bones for it's pricetag.
Now with the "Coming of Age" notification popping up every time when it's suppose to for everyone (except for a few players on a rare occasion) I think we are finally there. We have reached perfection.
Thank you for all the hard work you put into this development. It has really shone through with this patch in particular. If I ran a game company, I'd snap yous up in a heartbeat. That's how good yous are."
But i also agree with the other guy in that thread, who says that he sees not a single reason to get this beta patch, as he never had any crashes or these errors. And any of the other errors either also don´t apply to me, or they´re super minor.
I mean they can´t just drop this patch. Either they combine it with a message, that this comes in advance to the 1.3 patch for some reason they can´t explain, or they´d rather not release it - as patch after a couple of months, when 1.2 was released one year ago.
Like some bugfix patch is a bit weak. I´m not even talking about content, but certain adjustments, like balancing, or QoL, anything except for only bugfixes. Like bugfix patches are for the first 1 to, maybe 3 if they´re slow, months after a major update, to fix the bugs mainly. Any other patch after that would need to do something more imho, except bugs would be the overwhelming worst problem in and with the game, which they aren´t in this case - and something like "Fixed the missing siege engine graphics in settlements" isn´t there either, which would be the one bug, which probably everybody always sees...
The devs mention it is a hotfix given beta status because it can cause issues and they want to prevent ruining peoples current playthroughs.
Yet still complaining from ignorant kneejerking.
Bunch of the fixes is things people been if not crying about, but at least complaiing about and had issues with. With this beta update, it's just to hang back and wait for the "taleworld broke my mods" posts -)
A hotfix is something You release when You for example release a patch, and then all the AI parties would move with 1 speed, as they would never sell the grain, and always take more than they can carry after a battle. Which was the only time i used a mod for the game so far, because there was no hotfix.
A hotfix is to address a major game breaking problem as fast as possible. Hence "hot". After one year every bug is cold, and if there was anything gamebreaking in it - the game would be abandoned by the players, if there wasn´t a mod to fix it.
