Best smithing weapons for profit?
So this is the first time i tried to play the game without cheats because it was too fun :v
but now i need money to play honestly and i saw that smithing gives you a ♥♥♥♥ ton, but the best weapons i could make so far was 2h axe for 604 denars, what is the calculations that the game makes to know wich one will be more valuable? i din't understand that and could not find a answer for that, only outdated guides so far

I made a weapon that sells for 13k. Requires smithing skill 170. I am now at rank 210 and have upgraded the same weapon and it sells for 30k.

Smithing is not as profitable as it once was unless you focus on it. The most Valuable weapons currently are two handed swords or Glaives (Swingable high damage polearms). The "Tier" of the parts used will also effect the weapons overall sell price.

but it affects a lot? i made a weapon with the blade low tier and the other part the highest tier i had and the second sword the other way around and apparently the blade matter the most? it's kind of confusing how that works for me

Yes blade is the most important part as it effects the stats of the weapon the most, but having multiple higher tier parts will give the weapon a higher overall tier, which improves value.

2h Star Falcions... 5-7k range... just need wrought iron/iron... It's the most cost effective you can make. But if you want to level smithing and unlock all the parts to make yourself some awesome weapons.... not so much usefull for skill up...

I make 2h swords. Craft 2h swords which require expensive parts and set the size to max.
Javelins still work, or anything which requires expensive raw materials.

Expensive materials isn't cost effective, unless you just get some from smelting stuff you can use regardless. If you set out to refine them yourself, it just turn into an awful lot of clicks for less return. The whole Time/clicks Vs profit.

Who cares about cost efficiency when you can buy 4 pugios 250 each and make a 2h sword from them worth 30k?

To get to that point, you need to have unlocked certain parts. to unlock parts you need to keep craft with as much high tier materials you can, or smelt high tier items. It's not something you can unlock and do instant.

I don't really get your point. When I start smithing, money becomes irrelevant instantly. I don't get 30k at the start of course, but even at the start I don't sell much weapons I made, but I smelt them to improve my skills and get more parts. High tier blades can be unlocked quite early, and smithing those improves the skill far quicker.

Haha
New player since 2 days only, following YT Smithing vids, in 3 hours gameplay I got enough smithing skills/perks to make 15K 2-Handed swords (and have 150K level 8, never fought anyone! ) ...others weapons are worth sh#t tho (1h swords, daggers, polearms..)

so to unlock parts faster you need to use high tier material? i'm smelting a lot of weapons but barely get any

Once you can make steel weapons, you make steel weapons, once you can make fine steel weapons, you make those and so on. You can double dip by smelt down the weapons you create. But the materials you get back from smelting is less than what it take to create them. and you need to keep turn wood into coal to keep up with the process.
