how do you raise the loyalty of a companion?
I am playing forbire mod or however you spell it, and I want to put in a gang leader but it asks for someone with a loyalty of 10 or more, any ideas?

Companions do not have Loyalty. They have Relation.

Which do you mean? If it is indeed Loyalty, then that's a question for the people who developed your mod.

If you like Fourberie I recommend adding combat friends, Scum and Villainy and Mav's Expand Your Clan.

Very few ways to increase relation with companions in vanilla game. One for sure is...

Make them lead another party. Then follow them around and keep help out when they get into fights. For this to be worth get into, you really need to be at war as companion parties doesn't focus much on bandit parties at all.

Dunno why this never occurred to me, not that I had given companion relations much thought.

Thx

Oh and a very fast way to have them drop relations...

If you have a companion leading a party that have cruel trait while in army with you, and you take a fief and then show mercy. Their relation will drop like a stone.

Well, atm, one of my companion parties leading a party of 140ish siegeing a castle on his own. It all come down to if you give them something to do right? Like wars...

OP -- Are you sure that's not caused by your mods?

I just beat the thugs in an alley, and when I went to leave a companion behind, it wanted someone with at least 30 in Roguery. I had a guy with 40 Roguery, and it took him, even though Relation with him was zero.

This is in mainline 1.2.9 with no mods.

So it sounds like your mod changed the requirements.

Cleaning a ally was fine I could assign someone there, but if you play Fourberie and get your relation up with a gang leader and challenge him to a duel, you can replace him. But to promote a leader, it asks for someone with 10 relation and 30 rogue.

Then you should contact "Fourberie" tech support -)

So it is your mod causing that. I agree with Ruffio. It's a mod issue. Contact them.
