This or Warband?
I hear a lot of people saying warband is a better experience, wich one should I get? And wich one is more "noob" friendly? Thanks!

i would say both have their advantages. bannerlord is newer has a few improvements over warband but also quite a lot of unimprovement. it feels like warband has more soul in it, but still bannerlord is a good game so if you havent player warband and have nothing to compare bannerlord to you will enjoy the game.
Bannerlord is soulless, get Warband. Bannerlord looks prettier, feels newer, but it's missing a certain charm Warband had. Idk how to explain it into words to someone who hasn't played either yet.

Bannerlord is great. As a player having played since Mount and Blade was first released, I do not understand the hate towards Bannerlord. It is not perfect, but neither is Warband.

Warband Vanilla isn't very good. However, that being said, you get tons of mods that play rather remarkably. You also aren't going to have every 3 months a new patch to mess up all your mods. So it all depends upon how much you are going to look at the mods or use them. If you want to play just the Vanilla versions, I would say Bannerlord is going to be your better option, if you are going to explore mods, Warband is the superior for now.

Warband + Diplomacy mod is way better. You really don't need much else to enjoy the game.

Bannerlord is a lot better-looking and has a lot going for it, but is nowhere near as stable as Warband.

From what I've seen and heard, if you start using mods with Bannerlord you'll eventually start having frequent and unexplained crashes, and these will only get worse everytime a patch comes out.

On the other hand, if you just stick to plain vanilla Bannerlord without mods, you'll still eventually start running into crashes, just not as often. For me the problems always kicked in after about five hundred hours.

So stick to vanilla for the next year or so if you're going with Bannerlord, but if you're worried about damaging your rig from all the crashes, go with Warband. It's not as pretty as Bannerlord but at least it's stable enough to handle mods.

Warband was a good game, for its time.

But it is just outdated.

Not true. I am playing the current mainline with no mods, and I have never had any mods.

I also have no crashes.

And I have well over five hundred hours.

Don't lie to the new kids.

I'm speaking from painful personal experience. The reason I said "just not as often" is that I recognize that my own experience may have been something of an outlier -- no mods ever, a couple thousand hours, and so many crashes after the 500 hour mark I had to buy a new rig. If someone else had exactly the configuration that the developers were expecting, I can well understand having few or no crashes. But it's a bit like Russian Roulette -- is taking that risk really worth it?

agree, also there is no way to play ironman, i ve only played like 150 hours singleplayer, but had 10+ random crashes, while no problem with original mnb and warband. no mods at all

Don't forget to grab the 'Fire' DLC if you go for W-band :)

Bannerlord is better; its just not as big of an improvement as it should've been considering the development time and the pricepoint. the calendar is gimped, thats worse, but the rest of the game is just better IMO

the total conversion mods are a big factor to weigh though, i am compelled to go play Gekokoju or whatever that mod is called for warband
