AFAIK, there is no incompatibility between older saves and any updates to any branch they originated within. So, if you saved game is from the Steam Public Release version, you should be just fine. If it's from the Beta Branch, you should be fine. (AFAIK, there have been no incompatibility warnings for either branch.)
However, switching between issued branches of updates is NOT saved-game compatible.
Make sure you are subscribed to the appropriate branch and have patched your game for that same branch that your saved-game is from.
You must be sure that the companion redistributable libraries (AKA "Dependencies") have also been downloaded and installed. If your game was working before, that shouldn't be an issue. AFAIK, these librareis are not going to get uninstalled by Steam if you uninstall Bannerlord because that would be... stoopid...
Note: If you are or were running mods, then it's your fault. Many mods aren't updated quickly, if at all, and you're running a very high risk of having problems with Bannerlord play if you're running mods. You can choose to accept that or not, but it doesn't change the fact that if you have a significant issue with gameplay performance then "mods" are the most likely issue.
and they actually have error info on them that you can google.
one I get a lot when pushing my overclock too far is "CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT".
another popular one is "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" indicating something wrong with your RAM.
There's one for video card driver crash too, I don't recall what it is..
if you get a different message every time, it can be power supply..
most hardware issues are heat.. and most of that is dust.. do you have a program to check temps? they are free.. hwinfo64 is good
In systems where the user is using error-free software, this is true. :)
But, it's a good point that there's going to be some Error report, somewhere, and that could point to the problem.
Using the Event Viewers in Windows Administrative tools, the user can often track down errors that make it far enough to get reported there. If it's a recurring BSOD that can be repeated and it's not allowing the system to get a report, a pen and paper is a good "reporting tool," too.
I updated the mods to versions compatible with 1.4.1 and disabled the other two.
I had BSoD with Bannerlord long before I ever installed mods.
It's not like I have a Rimworld-level list of mods either - it's 5 or 6 mods.
Well, Steam crashed, but neither Bannerlord nor the OS crashed.
tell them to dismount (F1 -> F5). that happens when there's a horse in the group, typically a campanion and/or spouse
Thank you! My companions were indeed in group 1.
So... no fix yet for troop groups changing every time you reload a save?
definitely hardware issue, imo..
this game uses more cpu threads than most others I've seen. grab hwinfo64 (or other free tool) and check your temperatures
I had just won 300-600 with 100-450 deaths

Any way to cheat those results without having to fight the same battle again?
These ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crashes are really getting on my nerves. Still not a stable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game? ♥♥♥♥ this.
