Player should keep equipment of executed lords
As the tittle says player should be able to keep all the stuff the executed noble carried; give it another relation penalty or whatever, it's not logical for it to vanish. I can understand after battle, stuff gets damaged, destroyed, looted by your own troops - not so if u execute someone.

And if its too "unbalanced" (lol), make the equipment sell for less or cost less in general (it costs way too much as of now anyway), make it even unsaleable. I'm sick and tired of searching every city for high tier equipment bit by bit when there are 3 guys wearing exactly what i want, whom i'm about to execute anyway.

There is a mod that allows to do that.

Because executing Lords is not a powerful enough a mechanic? :)

Keep in mind that it's an EA game. There could very well be some gear added especially for Lords when you are victorious in a battle. But, also keep in mind that if that was the case then "power creep" in terms of individual player capabilities would certainly start to be an issue.

Gear has generally been locked behind Character Level in Warband, aside from a few rare things and what's basically an extremely low chance at getting a "unique" drop. Warband focused much more on character level, skills and proficiencies, than specific gear once the player reached a certain level.

Bannerlord has a lot more gear than Warband did, though. You'll probably see the chance of getting unique/rare drops for certain Lords come into play later in development.

Nope, because of common sense, why should it just vanish?

It is just game logic. Otherwise you could be a merc join a big battle capture a lord and execute them and have the best amour in the game within a week or two Weapons/Armour are one of the forms of progression in this game, this idea would circumvent it.
The Lootlord mod is fun but I wouldn't hold my breath for it featuring in vanilla.

Well i might agree with you that gathering equipment is the biggest "challenge" right now, but it really shouldn't be in the final game - which for me should be about leading an empire, leading your clan to glory (by war, trade, cunning diplomaty etc), or simply having a lance a bow and a party of looters to decimate. Equipment shouldn't be the ultimate goal, it is a (temporary) means to success in the best case. In a battle 500 vs 500 player equipment is not a deciding factor, not all. I don't even search for best stats on equipment, i like good lookin and rare stuff...This is SP game, no one can completely "balance out" the player ability to gather stuff anyway, nor should he superficially try to do that.

nice idea. this would finally make executions lucrative and reward you for becoming an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with every body. Right now, executions just provide no advantage at all. Too much risk and too little reward (no reward)
Following that idea you should be able to keep ALL equipment from ALL dead enemies (aside from some broken armour maybe) and that would be a wee bit much.

But like someone above already said, there's a mod already that allows this.

There is a mod like this on Nexus. You can configure loot chance drop on execution or leave it at 100%. It breaks balance, of course.

No, in reality soldiers also collected loot and were permitted to collect loot for themself, so it is perfectly fine that not all loot is given to you; also stuff gets broken lost in battle, etc...But the one guy in front of you? His stuff is yours, u decided for him to go no one would touch it but you.

I am aware of that mod, but using mods right now, when devs do their best to patch often (which is good of course) is not practical.

Personally I tend to agree I just don't see it as the direction they are going.Linking it back to warband I found the best 'class' of armour fairly early on (maybe midgame) it was only looking for the lordly/masterwork stuff that took up more money/time. So at my most optimistic I'd expect 'battered' quality equipment with reduced stats.

True, but executing people also brings a huge relations penalty with their friends.

And if you're able to singlehandedly take down a powerful lord you deserve to access their gear, you personally fought for it after all.
Operation40 Apr 21, 2020 @ 11:06am
You gotta leave his gear on, otherwise when the common people pass his rotting corpse on the road, they won't realize who it is
Personally, that would make you have end game armor in like 2 battles. So I will disagree on this suggestion.
