Losing troops without them dying in combat

Anyone else have this problem? i lose like 10-20 troops after battle even tho in victory sceen it says none??

Same! When I'm doing sieges or battles, my party just randomly loses soldiers, without them dying. Having to reload saves constantly

Are they getting donated to the newly conquered town/castle garrison?

There are reports of losses due to siege weapons being destroyed that aren't getting reported on the final battle screen.

This should not be the case for regular field-battles, though. (I have not seen that at all in any field battle.)

Sieges kill troops on both sides during the initial phase where you build engines and shoot at each other.

I can think of two ways this could happen that arent a bug - and I'm not saying 'is happening' just 'could'.

The first is exceeding the total number of units allowed in your band - if you can only have 50, and you have 60,those extra 10 will eventually leave, similar to having too many prisoners.

The second is a low morale score - I dont know how morale is calculated within an Army, but desertions might happen after a battle if, for instance, the Army has no food. This seems to be pretty commonplace with AI Armies - I often find when I join an AI Army my role is that of commissariat, but then I usually travel with enough food to last a month, minimum.

Desertions from not enough food? I carry like 1k-2k days worth for my 200 Men and when in a AI army or yours for that matter when you form one you'll share food with them and gain Influence.
Also could be over troop capacity or lower Morale

if you can manage just 50 soldiers and u carry 80 then 30 will run away...
