1) when caravans are at 120 they are not attacked by bandits. And they continue to make revenue as prior to update 1.10.
!!! You need to download the mod that does the garrison, so that ALL caravans can actually fill up to the120 limit. This adds realism as you need to walk with your patrol until it fills.
Or- gear up to item rank 45, and make caravan. They will then spawn will 95-105
-It also allows all enemies and AI factions to actually reach the 400 garrison +200-350 militia.
... as such, caravans drop between 20-45K loot. Thus prevents the towns and cities from being emptied.
2) It also makes pve in tournaments worth it, as you get Tier 3-6 gear and between 20-60K. Which you need to maintain the army of 350. [achieved with bannerlord tweeks]
And yes, you do die in 4 hits from tier 2 enemies. Lords and nobles one shot you. Which means !!! Do not get hit ever.
It makes you learn all the formations.
... I have 20 caravans and 45 workshops with an army of 1500. I captured 40% of all fiefs so ar in game
