Is there a Demo for this game?
I'd like to play this, but I'm not sure if it will run on my PC. I've looked at "Can You Run It," but that site lies to me. It says I cannot play Dark Sould II or III, or XCom II. I have hundreds of hour of each of these games at the highest settings (I think).

So I would like to know if there is a demo so I can just try it out myself. I'd love to play this game, but $50 is just too much of a gamble. I think there is a policy that allows up to 2(?) hours of gameplay for refunds, but that may not be enough time to explore various facets of the game and be sure my machine can handle it.

In case any of you have a similar setup and can tell me from your personal experience, here are my specs:

Windows 10 Pro 64

AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor 3.80 GHz

16.0 GB RAM

AMD Radeon 7800 series (I want to say it's a 7850 but I'm not sure)

Anecdotal evidence is welcome, but ideally I could just try it out via a demo.

Any help would be appreciated

There's no way you're gonna be able to run this smoothly at all. Your CPU is very very outdated and so is the 7850 (performs worse then min gpu)

Also there's no demo.

That site is also very unreliable. DS3 you should be able to play 60 ish on low settings and ds2 should easely run on that setup. Xcom 2 runs on even older potatoes.

This game however wont be running smoothly for you :p

RE NaliWarcow

"DS3 you should be able to play 60 ish on low settings"

I run DS III at the highest settings.

"There's no way you're gonna be able to run this smoothly at all. Your CPU is very very outdated and so is the 7850 (performs worse then min gpu)"

I guess I'm not surprised to receive an answer telling me my PC is outdated, but I don't appreciate it. That's kind of condescending. I'm a University student on a budget. I know my machine is old; this should be obvious due to the fact that I created this post. I thought it was pretty clear that I was asking about demos and anecdotal experience. Do you work for "Can You Run It?"

Dude, wtf wrong with you?

"Will my machine run this?"

"No."

"Hey I don't appreciate that!"

Like, for real?

Honestly though the game can be refunded. Just buy it and try it.

I have a GTX 960 and an i5-8400.

I run at reduced battle size (usually 375), reduced resolution upscaling to 1080p, medium settings. And I usually can keep it smooth at my framecap. Of 30 frames.

I get that it's frustrating to be told no, and the delivery isn't always the best. But this game is not currently in a rig-friendly state. My machine isn't a spring chicken either.

Compared to other titles I've played, the amount of compromise this game demands is unusual. It still looks nice aside from some blur which might be a bad setting, but I wouldn't put money on anything appreciably slower being easily playable even at low settings.

That was exactly my point - even I'm making some pretty hefty cuts to get mostly playable. If you've got less than this, I wouldn't bet on it working.

Yeah.. Its only been decades that uhm,,, they have provided false information on many games that are on the below the 'system requirements' of games, right? My intel HD 4000 cant run Subnautica yet I can, somehow, get a stab,le 40+ FPS iwth it :p
Tactical Drongo Apr 18, 2020 @ 3:09pm
The steam Policy is that you have 2 hours of gameplay within one week of time - if you stay below that you can return without having to worry about reasons

but seriously, if you open a thread and ask people if your pc can run a game you should not be surprised if someone says that your rig might be outdated in a place or two - especially since you know that your machine is older

if your pc can run it? only the machine god can tell since every setup can work different with different games
if you can run newer games somewhat stutter free you can certainly try

Thanks for your reply. I should mention that I am not surprised nor salty that I am "being told no." But I didn't ask for people to make guesses for me. I asked about demos and personal experience with rigs similar to mine (like you have done). I was specific because I was trying to avoid a horde of bored neckbeards throwing shade on my obviously outdated machine.

They keep releasing performance updates every now and then, I would suggest waiting for now and try the game out once more features and performance updates come out, other than that, I love the game, it's a good game

But I think Your spec is good enogh to run this game. Not on max, Videocard is under question, but you can play.
