At what patches/updates do you guys restart a new game ?
Just wondering when its best to restart a game and when it's okay to continu a game when there's a patch...
I restarted at the 1.1.0 patch and think maybe the 1.1.1 and upwards are okay to continu playing until there's a 1.2.0 patch ? Or is it wiser to do it more often ? Not wanna miss out on good content... Just wondering about ur experiences...

I restart play through every major patch. While yes you can continue playing on an old save, it won't give you a clear picture on what is actually broken or working properly.

For testing purpose I do start new games. I do have a save I come back to thats my 'main' save.

Yeah, but what do you consider a major patch ?
Isn't the point system supposed to indicate when a patch is minor ... like a x.x.+1 patch... or when it is bigger... when it's like a x.+1.x patch... and definitely when it's a +1.x.x patch/update.
Is that a fair indicator or do you just check for the content that was changed/updated ?

if u can only play 1 day a month, i would never ever start a new game... maybe all 5 jears.

if u can play all days as long as u want i would play every patch a new start...

1.2.0 works good on old saves, didn't notice any inconsistencies. And in general i check if patch works ok on old save, and check actual patch notes before deciding to start over or not
