How do you get nominated in settlement ownership voting?

[TL;DR]

As the title suggests, I've conquered 10+ settlements as a vassal and they were all assigned to others. No one nominate me so I couldn't use my influence. It's really frustrating.

as i understand it the king trys too give lords settelment that are close to each other ... so highest priority is for clas without any land and after that the clan with a settelment close to the new one

luck + don't have too many fiefs

That's why castles are cancer, having one means you probably won't have another town.

I've noticed that first priority have clans with no fiefs and second priority have higher level clans.

You can spend 200 influence to force a re-vote on a fief's ownership, then your name will be there. That's how I yoinked 3 castles and 2 cities. Of course their previous owner won't like you much, but screw them, I DESERVE THIS!

I did try that. But my name were still not on the voting table.
And I agreed, we deserve every settlement we conquered!!!
