Bug - Permanently Unsuitable for Marriage
So for attempting to court a Maiden for Marriage, I approached one Battanian girl who, after a conversation with, decided we weren't a good match. Ok, no problem.

But now there are no more "ardent admirer" options... with anyone. I've approached near 20 women who are single, and the option just doesn't come up. And no, I am not tipping my fedora to these fine females.

I have the developer console mod installed so I checked into it a bit further, and the command: campaign.list_children_heroes_suitable_for_marriage shows all available Maidens in the game suitable for marriage with the player hero. It showed all maidens that I've approached, minus the one who said no, so it seems to be working...

But when I approach them, no option. So I tried to dig a bit further into this and, lo and behold, when using: campaign.is_hero_suitable_for_marriage_with_player (maiden), it comes up with the message "Marriage is not suitable between (player) and (maiden)". Two conflicting stories in the code.

So it seems I, after my one shot, am now destined to be alone in the world. Definitely seems like a marriage attempt bug, so just thought I would throw it out there for anyone else getting the same problems.

Update: I tried campaign.conceive_child, and it married me to an Imperial dude and we had a child. I guess my character came out of the closet via divine intervention?

Sounds like something caused the game to set that flag, as if you had married, but you havent. Are you certain you just didn't seal the deal with the leader of your potential spouse's clan? It's not enough to woo the lady, you have to pay some money to their father/the leader of their clan.

^^
How is the religion in the game, btw?

No, even talking to their father doesn't come up with any options. It sounds like a flag was set unintentionally, I agree. Hopefully I get patched back into the dating game eventually, I need an heir.

40 now, most of the women I have tried are in the 30-40 range, a few 40+.

Forever alone indeed.
