BUTTERLIB CRASH FIX 2024 READ IF YOUR MODDED GAME CRASHES

If ur game crashes with butterlib mod, then you need to read this...

1. Go to the NexusMods, download Vortex (or mod manager, depends on ur choise, I'm using vortex)
   
2. If ur gonna play the game with mods, u'll need harmony and UIExtender etc. so download them first.
   
3. A huge amount of Bannerlord mods will require Butterlib in order to work so that's where we take a step and fix Butterlib crash.
   
4. Go to the Bannerlord Software Extender (BLSE) mod page and then download this through the guide modders shared. There's a couple guides for it, I used for Vortex scenario.
   
5. If you manage to successfully download and using the BLSE, Butterlib should NOT be crashing anymore.
   
6. BLSE contains a few options you can try but I don't really know if they useful or not since I didn't need them. So the base mod should be enough.

Those steps worked for me and after 4 months of desperate research. With BLSE and Vortex, I finally managed to open the game without crash screen. I hope this topic helps u guys too.

IMPORTANT NOTE: BLSE WILL NEED HARMONY, MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOADED HARMONY BEFORE ANY USE!!

Note: Before you guys ask, I couldn't find BLSE on steam workshop, u have to mod ur game manually.

Note: This is a general solution for Butterlib crash, u could still get more problems or crashes because of TW's not cooprating with modders so, we can use topic to discuss them.

or just perform clear reinstall of mods via steam.

Got butterlib and se and fly normally currently.

I had this issue, game runs fine with no mods & with just harmony enabled, but enabling butterlib consistently crashes regardless of version. This is after a fresh install.

Using the BLSE launcher it doesn't crash anymore, very cool. Thanks!
