children grow up/gifting problem. is there finaly a solution?
so, it feels like im asking this atleast once a year, because it is still my biggest problem in the game, and not just a problem, but making it almost unplayable.
not just almost, but starting with the 4th generation, it bceomes indeed UNPLAYABLE..

so, im someone who loves to play bannerlord with a heavy focus on my family.
playing only with family members, playing my range units with only family members, only having family member clans etc etc.

so, with the latest patch, auto allocate perks was finaly fixed again, but sadly, it STILL doesnt solve the "children gifting" for you.
as you know, every 2 years, you have to "guide" your childrens and give them perks.
and as i sayd, this does not work with auto allocate perks, you HAVE to do it.
thats no problem with 2 kids.
but starting with the 4th generation, you have literally HUNDREDS of children.
and no, there is no trick or something behind it.
if you and your brothrt have 7 children each in the first generation, that makes 14 in total.
if these 14 get 7 children each in the next generation, that is ALREADY 88 children.
so there is no secret behind it, if you like to play with family only, it is pretty easy todo.
no mods or anything required.
(i personaly never play with mods)

so, this "guidance" popup shows on your alerts on the right of your screen, and it will NOT go away, unless you distribute these perks.
so if you have 5 guidance alerts, there is no space for new alerts, so you can never see any other alerts, unless as i sayd, you distribute the points.

and if you have 100+ kids, and every 2 years you get a message, you pretty much get the alert every minutes, making it unplayable.

i dont need any advices how to play or something, im having 2k+ hours in bannerlord.
i know this game in and out, thats why i love to play with family only, to challenge myself.

im just looking for a solution for auto allocate the "guidance" alert.
is there maybe a chance to edit something or a mod?
ANYTHING would help.

sorry for my bad english :(

Might have to overcome your resistance to using mods. Your case is unlikely to affect most players so you have to find a niche solution and that's mods.

im not resisting against mods, i just never found any usage of it because i always enjoy games how they are.
BUT, if there is a mod, that helps me in my situation, i would gladly install it.

thats why i sayd at the end:
"im just looking for a solution for auto allocate the "guidance" alert.

can you please tell me the name of the mod that does help me with my problem.
thank you

Sorry I don't use mods either. Just saying your only solution seems to be a mod, hopefully someone else here can answer you but I would try to go find the mod myself if I were you.

Birth control ?

I understood there was a hard-coded limit to clan size, is that truly not the case?

You're mot wrong, Pophet. I had a playthrough where not only did my main character have at least 8 kids, but her kids all got married and each had several kids, and the popups to handle each phase of life got extremely disruptive. I ended up quitting that game nd starting a new one. I couldn't even siege a castle without having to stop 8 times per siege to pick skills.

EXACTLY.
and someone stated that im the only one with that problem, but that couldnt be more far from the truth.
there are so many family only videos on youtube that all run into the same problem and a forced to quit the game because it gets unbearable.
everyone will try a family only playthrough with enough hours in the game.

i mean........... auto allocate works just fine.
why isnt there an option to use auto allocate from birth on?

like
auto allocate all
auto allocate adults only
auto allocate kids only

that would solve the problem.

if anyone still reading this post.
is there any mod that will help me out?

I don't have the stats but I doubt most people play multiple generations. Just go find a mod.

And I can find like 50 videos on YouTube all doing day 1 to day 100 videos. Doesn't mean most people play only 100 days, just means bannerlord content people aren't all that creative and just steal ideas (and thumbnail images) from each other.

Hadn't even thought about this being a problem before. Respect that you play that far into one playthrough.

Use profilax, problem solved.

Just figured I'd mention that I've recently taken to killing off male children as soon as they have their first baby to prevent the skill spam from kicking in. It's a remarkably effective quality of life action.

I went for the great grand parent achievement this week (and got it last night), but to do that I had to kill three generations of male adult children *Laughs*

I don't kill female children as they can't get married since they leave the clan when they do that, and thus they don't contribute to baby spam.

*Laughs* I'm guessing that was a delightful joke, haha, but for those who aren't aware, to get three generations of children in Bannerlord would have the following number of offspring if they're not killed off or blocked somehow from having children:

Assuming 4 female and 4 male:
first generation:
Main character (Female)
Husband (Male)
subtotal: 2

Second generation
4 male who get married
4 female who don't get married
Total so far: 8
Number of skill pick dialogues: 24

Third generation
16 male who get married
16 female who don't get married
Total so far: 40
Number of additional skill pick dialogues: 96

Fourth generation (for the achievement)
64 male who get married
64 female who don't get married
Total so far: 168
Number of additional skill dialogues just for this generation: 224

This problem is solved by killing the male young adults as soon as they have their first male child.

post script: Of course, it would be BETTER resolved if the game allowed the auto assignment of skills to actually work for children in the clan.

Edit: Actually, marriage invitation spam gets out of hand later in game as well. I wish there were an option to auto-reject invitations for female children. I don't want to marry them off because they'd leave the clan, but each female gets multiple invitations.
