Playing with controller?
I'm using my Xbox controller to play (well, not play, as it's unplayable... more to come) and it seems that while it's supported, there are a few gaps?

Mouse sensitivity applies to the camera control, as does the invert Y axis control, but not the vertical scaling?

This makes it really hard to have both a decent turning circle and keep my eyes level. The tutorial fighters just sit behind me and I can't turn around quickly enough, though I managed to defeat them with shields, but it's just impossible with only the sword. (Aside: switching block to follow movement and attack to follow the "mouse" works much better here with the two sticks. I'd have turned on Warband-style auto-block if there was an option, but after a little while I got the hang of it.)

If you pull the camera stick to the left or right, there's a *very* small location to get pure horizontal turning, and if you miss it then you'll also aim up or down drastically.

The menu is very hard to navigate using the controller to control the mouse. I was hoping the D-Pad would snap to clickable items, and perhaps one stick would scroll up and down options (I had to reach for a trackpad for that). Right now it seems to act as a single speed mouse, so you can't even gently move the cursor - it's either moving or not - which makes it hard to hit some of the smaller controls.

I couldn't figure out exactly what it was, but something about the movements I had to do actually hurt my hands. Within 30 minutes of playing I have sore knuckles, and I had nothing wrong after playing The Witcher for 50 hours on the same controller.

No idea if the devs are watching this forum or not, but hopefully someone knows whether controller support is still on the backlog, or is this "as intended"? Being able to reduce the vertical aim speed is absolutely necessary, and I suspect that will relieve some of the hand issues. Improving menu navigation would be nice to have, but I can go to my trackpad for that.

In the meantime, if anyone knows any hacks to fix any of these things sooner, I'd love to hear them. Have been looking forward to a new Mount and Blade for years!

Excellent! I'll keep an eye out.

For what it's worth, I got a little bit further, but failed the tutorial mission so many times I broke it :D
