Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Statistiche:
Level of ladies (to marry)
Do the young ladies start with same level (only which skill points they start witjh; in early game) or do they differ depending on age etc? In this playthrough I want to marry a wift which does not start with high stats/level since it takes forever to level them up and I would prefer to select their focus points/attributes myself.

Then look for someone that just came of age then. But remember a clan will always offer up the oldest unmarried first. Unless you do the whole charm/persuation thing.
I think as a rule of thumb young wives have the ability to produce more children, but tend to have beginner stats. Wives with high stats are older and have less child bearing years. Personally I go for the former. Just my opinion, but this game is a long game. You and your wife will probably die of old age before it's finished, so there's plenty of time to level her up, especially if you keep her in your army with you and she fights every battle that you fight. And also having one super OP wife in your army probably isn't going to turn a defeat into a victory.
I married my brother to one of the high powered potential wives, Svana. So she joined my clan, I called her up to my army and I don't care if they have kids or not (she did but that's irrelevant) . Meanwhile I married a 19 year old Sturgian woman Velina, who after 5 kids and about 20 grand kids has grown into a high powered warrior as well.

Did the charm persuasion thing for my characters wife. Then for my kids I just went around buying them wives, cos it was quicker. Even married a nephew off to an 81 year old faction leader. I just want to see if he gets to be faction leader when she dies. He's 18 and probably traumatised because he's sharing a bed with Granny.

Yes younger wifes produce more children. But even at 27 or so you would probably still get 3 kids. I am more concerned about being able to skill them as I want.
lol I just married Synira (19) and she got pregnant just after joining party. Did not even stay in settlement. I love those eager virgins :).

Yeh. Again then young wife is the way to go. Older ones already have skills. I've skilled all the wives and female family with Bow so I always have some mounted archers.

She could have been the village bicycle before you... its all in your head -)
I'd argue that it's better to marry one of the one's that's in her mid 20's and that already has good stats, because it takes forever to level their skills unless you're using a mod. I usually go for either Ira (southern empire) or Nadea (western empire) because they are already good at all of the core skills and don't require much training up. This makes them great as either governors or to run the more annoying quests for you (train troops for X, caravan escort, etc). They also usually come with top end gear that you can take for yourself long before you can afford to buy it.
