Has Taleworlds at all responded to the modding community in regards to

1. use of "internal" flags?

2. Documentation of modding capability

3. Hard-coded behaviors

Thanks and have an awesome day!

(what I'm trying to say is this game has been out for quite a while now, even in early access and we haven't seen anything the scale of The Last Days, Perisno, Prophecy of Pendor, etc and I would love to know if Taleworlds have actually responded to the modding community in regards to fixing things)

EDIT: open letter from modders to Taleworlds describing their grievances https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vRkMJjXmN_2qsbemaYRB_HbHFr6DuLE5gCqrVr6znYETQcdxeN_hwadmwm1Ev0YBR0_NQUCioNmpWSg/pub

This letter was released a year into Early Access, and mod authors are wondering why they don't have access? It's...Early Access. The game is still being built.

Was this letter ever posted on TW's forums? That's where the best interaction would be. Occasionally a community manager stops by here, but right now you're just asking the rest of us idiots.

This letter is two years old. You should check with those mod authors to see if they've noticed any difference, or if they still have issues.

I use mods quite a bit, and I'm usually in favor of more mod friendly games. Something about this letter just rubs me the wrong way. I'm getting huge entitlement vibes from it. Of course, if concerns aren't brought up, TW can't really do anything about it.

It was posted on the Taleworlds forums. In fact, the creator of the mercenary mod that was then turned into a much simpler "serve as a soldier" mod was how I discovered it.

And sure it may be old but I've gotta say that the lack of overhaul mods has me concerned, not to mention the signees still haven't had much progress on their mods (and I'm talking nexus, I know right now steam workshop is preferable because click and play, but nexus is where it's at, let's be honest)

reading the letter, while also looking at the current state of mods on Nexus/Steam tells me a few things

1. Modders dropped this game like a hot potato or
2. Modders are waiting for restrictions to be lifted in which case, let the flood gates open
3. People can only change minor things

I'm seeing this a lot with Starfield right now (sure, it's newer and everything) but people are running into a lot of the same issues of "modders shouldn't be adding basic functionality to a paid game"/"can't mod it because the game doesn't allow for it" (and yes I know the modding tools for starfield aren't being released for a few months, but even before stuff like that was done, the modding scene for FO4 and Skryim were vibrant compared to the relative desolation of this game)

Not a mod author myself, but going with what others have posted, those massive total conversion mods take time. Like years. This game has been out for a little over one. The mod that comes to mind from the list - Prophecy of Pendor - was being worked on by mod authors for a decade. From what I can tell, it was first released in 2010 (I could be wrong here), and the most recent update on the Nexus was 2020, version 3.9.x.

You should make this post on the TW forums then. Or check with those mod authors to see what the current state of their mods are.

Dejan details modding related changes of patches here: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/e1-6-0-v1-2-7-modding-changes.443896/

1. The largest single adjustment in regards to access modifiers likely took place in 1.6.0. Additional adjustments have been and are made based on community requests. Other than changing access modifiers, some code is also moved to models.

2. The official documentation can be found here https://moddocs.bannerlord.com/

3. See 1.
