bannerlord modding scene golden age
We are living in a golden age of bannerlord modding community, with the new update 1.2.7 and 1.2.8 many great mods are coming back and are being updated, and even new ones, if there is a new update and they break mods again, I am afraid some of the best modders will not come back now and we will live in a dark age of modding again, like in 1.1.x, please Taleworlds, be careful in future updates, dont change the code too much so mods are not broken

You need to fix your game version so that it can it no way be updated.
You can not expect game development to transit around your modded game.

Sorry...

Same old story, same old song... Wonder why there is any modders left, seeing people been loud about them quiting making mods before the game even was out of early access.
By this narrative, there wouldn't been anyone around to update their mods for 1.2.8 at all.

You guys that complain a lot.. do you make any mods yourselves? Got any links to your published mods? How do you feel about all the improvements to modding TW done on the 1.2.x branch?

Why / how in your brain do you assume people are blaming modders for the obvious incompetent / Terrible Patch release schedule of TW? Factually 6 months beta patch. And Litereally without exageration. less than 1 week later " Oh woops guys another patch for ya LOL" Luckily it did not break much.

and 1.2 added things that some modders already added since EA days. And can u name Diplomacy features added? Or regular soldiers becoming companions? Can u name TW adding in dismemberment? Or what about Cutting thru multiple people? Can you mention TW adding in custom units? or modifying the existing ones?? Yea no you cant. but thats been modded in since EA. over 2 years ago.

How about create a mod that convert the whole game to use Unreal 5.3 game engine instead ?

Then add more content to it and create a mmorpg element of the game, where you can be the soldier you want to be, the craftman you want to be .. in it ?

you know a real time mmorpg set in the entire world there, awesome epic graphics and sounds, weather and such .. kinda like what you get in games like Red dead redemption 2, just in the middle age with sword and shields ?

I think the game developers at taleworks are very very lazy when it comes to development of great games ... Even my Ai can make a greater game than this ..

The game aint worth the pricetag, the multiplay is limited to only a fraction of the gameplay experience !

Where did I say people blamed modders? Learn to read perhaps?

And the improvements to modding I did mention is added features and modability TW added to the game so modders can make bigger and better mods. Read the 1.2.x branch patch notes.

Fair to say, you not a modder... -)

A mod that convert a game to UE5.... you basically saying re-create the entire game in a new game engine.. let us know when you done with that simple project... oh and to hand out new hardware to all the players so they can run the thing.

LOL not sure what you smoking OP but I check nexus every few days and all I see is 85% trash mods: Op items, Op units, Op merc clans, bunch of localisations etc etc. not worth downloading most of them. From where I'm standing mod scene for this is on life support for a while. Bare bone vanilla, hot fixes galore, same ol same ol

there are some goods mods, QOL ones and ones that add nice systems that enhance the game so much more. Though, I can count the neccessary ones on my fingers there's lots of smaller ones that change/mess things you didn't know you needed. Though I agree. I hate the crap mods that just makes it all OP and such.

As someone who loves mods, someone who would not have put even a fraction of the time I have in this game without mods, TW should NEVER try to tailor their updates around mods.

Do they have to account for EVERY mod? So their patches and updates must now accommodate every single mod ever created, because someone out there uses it, and they can't have their game not work.

Or maybe just for the mods you like? What if I don't like them?

You're expecting TW to be able to review every mod and account for what that mod does, while also continuing to develop the game they want. That's just not feasible. We have mods now that don't play with each other, but TW is expected to make sure both work?

TW has done one of the best things I've seen from a gaming company. They have multiple versions of their game available (at least on steam, not sure how other platforms handle it). So players can choose their game version and use all the mods they want to their heart's content. I haven't played every single game, but I have yet to see other game studios do this. In this sense, they've done exactly what you asked for. They left a version of the game fully playable that works with your mod setup.

But, then they can't get the latest "useless" updates from TW that no one asked for at the same time (their words)... you see?
