Is there a skill level cap?
This is an odd question for me because I saw the final skills for most skill trees, and they tend to be something like "every point into X after 200 skill level gives Y modifier to Z effect". Like, Athletics would be "every point into Athletics after 200 skill level gives 1 hp to the player" or something along these lines.

The thing, I thought there is a skill learning limit cap? For example, I only have 1 focus point into Athletics, and 3 Endurance stat points. At the moment for some reason my learning of Athletics skill tree has stopped at 0.00x at level 72... Why 72 I don't know, because I thought it would be more of a rounded number? I also recall a guide on YouTube saying something about this skill level cap, or something like that.

Then there is this Strat Gaming Guide channel on YouTube, one of his characters has a whopping 1038 skill level in Steward skill. What the ♥♥♥♥?

I'm pretty sure he used a cheat engine for that though, because he had 900+ stat points, that is impossible to achieve unless you're level 4,000+. And he obviously mods his games too (with Improved Garrison, because he said so in another video where he showed his formation strategies).

Focus 0 1 2 3 4 5
------- --- --- --- --- --- ---
1 Attr 4 / 44 / 84 / 124 / 144 / 184
2 Attr 18 / 58 / 98 / 138 / 178 / 218
3 Attr 32 / 72 / 112 / 152 / 192 / 232
4 Attr 46 / 86 / 126 / 166 / 206 / 246
5 Attr 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 / 260
6 Attr 74 / 114 / 154 / 194 / 234 / 274 <-- ♥♥♥♥ move
7 Attr 88 / 128 / 168 / 208 / 248 / 288
8 Attr 102 / 142 / 182 / 222 / 262 / 302
9 Attr 116 / 156 / 196 / 236 / 276 / 316
10 Attr 130 / 170 / 210 / 250 / 290 / 330

Leveling anything up above 300 without exploits or cheats is a pain.

Lol, thanks. I just caught what you mean... Thanks for the info. This makes me think twice about making a character with full athletics having over 500 hp...

330 skill is the max in game without cheating. there is a hidden 1038 cap, that you need to use a cheat engine, etc to enable.

The posted attribute/focus point distribution is accurate, and unchanged since release.

in the PAST, there used to be a level cap, you only got character levels, when you got skill points. so in order to max char level, you had to level up every skill to its peak.
Currently, character level and skill levels are no longer tied. if you cap out at 300 smithing, you will continue getting character exp via smithing, for example.

there are soft caps on each. meaning for every level/skill point you gain, it requires more exp to level that skill/char level.

the green bar is a lie. you stop getting skill levels when it SAYS 0.00 learning.

its more a bug and less a lie.

what me anger are all the cheat-chars from the clans/lords. they mostly have skills 30-50 points over the red skill lvl cap... this shouldnt be possible.

(if you marry someone you can see all the cheat-skills)

Without that, virtually none of the NPC lords would be anywhere near the player as far as skill levels. They don't have the ability to engage in endless combat like the player. There's quite a lot of time where they just sit in a fief because other clan members are using up party slots.

Some skills are easier than others to level. Athletics is one of the skills that you can infact level relatively easily.

Though, not to the tune of 500 hp:)

Athletics and smithing both unlock a bonus point in endurance and vigor, so you can kinda trade focus points you get every level for attribute points you only get every 4 levels. And of course you get a bunch of other useful perks too from getting both to a high level - such as a good HP buffer and the ability to craft legendary quality weapons.
