New to Bannerlord. Should I play current patch or 1.2.4 BETA?
Hello, I bought Bannerlord a few days ago and want to start playing.
I'll be playing vanilla for a while, until I can get comfortable enough to begin modding.

With that in mind, should I play the current patch or jump straight into the BETA?
If I play the BETA, do you imagine after the update, I'll be able to import the save into the stable branch?

Thank you in advance

Imho, if you start a campaign on the 1.2.x beta branch now it should carry over just fine when it get pushed to main. (unless it get stated otherwise in the patch notes when its released).

100% beta branch, its more feature complete, adds a lot of new things, is super stable (for me) the only bug I've found is 2h axes/maces smithing bug

Neither wait another week for stable to update then play and get best of both worlds

Would be prone to have his campaign suffer some issue by start one on current main branch, and then carry it over once beta branch go main. Than start one on beta branch now and have that one carry over.

Can you clear it up? Wait for the beta to become the main patch and still wait a week? I just finished my very old Khuzait campaign (surprisingly, it wasn't broken despite maybe 2 patches old) in terms of the main quest. I'm just waiting for the beta patch to become the main patch to start my Sturgian campaign.

If you want to start a new campaign now. You should consider do it on the beta branch. Imho chance of any issues with your campaign carry over when beta get pushed to main is less than it would be with a campaign started on curent main. That being said, I got an release version campaign that did carry over with several updates, fixes and currently working on the beta branch without much hiccupss.
