Just curious what your other current favorites are?
Mine are Knights of honor 2 and stellaris atm. Don't really have a good RPG currently although I got bladurs gate 3 as a gift I just cant get interested in trying it :/

I played through BG3 and had a lot of fun. I have my critiques on it, but for people that enjoy the CRPG format, I'd recommend giving it a try. I've been playing Starfield, and I'm getting through it, but I would definitely not call it a favorite.

I don't really have any other games like this that I play. I used to play Dynasty Warriors style games before, but this game is way more fun.

BG3, Civilization is a great game series I am recently rediscovering. RPGs in general. Borderlands (the original) and Borderlands 2. Just to name a few.

Oh man I forgot about dynasty warriors! I hope that 10 is good when it comes out iirc 9 was a dumpster fire :(

Every dynasty warriors after 4 hyper was garbage and they keep getting worse.

I like alot of older games. Dungeon Lords, Wizardy 8, Romance of the 3 kingdoms 3,4,8,10,11, Gothic 2, Morrowind, Kenshi, Dragons Dogma, Pathfinder Kingmaker, Warriors of the eternal Sun, Four Crystals Of Trazere, Ogre battle March Of the Black Queen and 100 others.

I don't know how I forgot about Dragon's Dogma. I love that game. Although the vanilla game is pretty boring, the World Difficulty mod combined with reduced leveling really makes it a challenge. I had a blast the last time I played.

Most DW games feel like they're falling into the Madden/FIFA sinkhole of getting less and less with each new game they release. I feel like 9 Empires had the potential of being simliar to what M&B does, but geez that game is awful.

Im still working on my first vanilla playthrough, I am planning to add mods for the next one, thanks for the suggestions.

I should amend 'boring' to 'easy.' In the game, you can pretty easily outlevel what you're fighting. The WD mod increases stats of enemies, but it also makes it much harder to level by increasing the EXP needed. Keeps things challenging for longer. I do recommend playing vanilla first as you are. I need to play DD:DA again.
