how to open console command in 2023?

hello guys, my game is v1.1.5 but i can't open console command even tho i already enabled the cheat mode in engine_config.txt and i tried to update my game to v1.1.6 and still the same. can't open the console command, i've research everywhere but still can't find how to solve it. please help

i can't open console command in the game, i tried to press alt+` or alt+~ but nothing happen

You can try verifying your game files to see if that fixes the issue.

Might need to go to the tech support forum then. Something messed up if you cannot even open the command console.

What country are you in/keyboard type do you have? For some countries like Germany it is the o with dots over it (idk how to make that character on an English keyboard)

I believe its a issue that's been around since 2021. Sometimes the console pops up, sometimes it doesn't. it is very annoying.

my pc is in english united state language. i have 2 keyboard which 68% and full keys but both still didn't work. i tried to verify the game more than 2 times but still not working

yeah, i tried to change the version of the game from v1.1.5 to v1.1.6 and beta 1.2.0 and keep repeating it for many times but still not working. i even tried to install developer console mod but it just make my game crashes everytime i run the game.

Mines always worked since early access but I haven't played in a couple months, I'll load up the game and check

Started a fresh game, new character no mods on version 1.1.6.26219. Using commands from
https://www.mountblade2.com/bannerlord-cheats-console-commands/
Console opened, I input config.cheat_mode 1 opening inventory and saw all the cheated items on the left took some items out to ensure it worked then used campaign.add_gold_to_hero 50000 without issue and then tried CTRL and left mouse click to teleport which also worked.

WAIT I THINK I GOT IT!! " i already enabled the cheat mode in engine_config.txt" What did you change in this file? as far as I know you shouldn't need to change anything in the game files to use console command. Perhaps something that was changed in that file has broken it where the console box isn't coming up?

It’s been a month I don’t know if you still want an answer, but i just had the same problem as you i found out the game doesn’t recognize properly some of my keyboards buttons since it’s not the traditional american one, there is also one command that uses the ~ to function you can go to keybinds and try to use the ~ butron to see what it will recognize it as, i think the inly solution for the problem is getting an traditional english keyboard you can do that with the virtual keyboard from windows so you don’t have much trouble, just change the language of your keyboard to english open the virtual one and use it to open and close the console
