Bannerlord 2 Not Launching the game or Doesn't even close at all. POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Hi, I have been having a problem during these last 2 weeks trying to launch the game as I mentioned in the title, I used to press play and nothing opened and if the launcher appeared and I pressed singleplayer or continue nothing happened and I couldn't close the game even from task manager.

Finally today 03/06/2023 something worked for me and I hope for you too.

1.Remove the game from your steam library.
2.Turn off your antivirus, firewall, and windows defender ( In windows security if you have W11 like me, go to "control folder access" and turn it off, then go to "real time protection" and turn it off)
3.Reinstall your Graphics Card Driver
4.Update your drivers ( I used Driver Booster for this step)
5.Please, its important that you followed the Step 2 for this:

-Install the game, after finished, go where you have steam installed.
-Open steam folder/steamapps/common/Mount & Blade II Bannerlord/bin/Win64_Shipping_Client

-Here, you will need to give administrator privileges to every single executable.

Bannerlord, Bannerlord Native, LauncherNative, Talesworld... (5) with those initials.

It should look like this:

6. Finally, open the game from steam, press launch, now it should open normally.

7. If all those steps didn't work, i have one more solution that worked for me.

- I don't know the reason, but, you need to DELETE the Mount and Blade 2 folder from your documents and from OneDrive, yes the light-blue cloud where u can find documents etc.

Once you open OneDrive you will see that you have a folder of Mount and Blade.

- Again, make sure that u deleted from your Documents and OneDrive the folder of MountAndBlade2.

(I had a problem deleting from one drive)

-I found the solution installing OneDrive again because i uninstalled it in the past.

https://www.microsoft.com/es-ww/microsoft-365/onedrive/download

-Once you reinstall OneDrive and yo restart your computer, you will be able to delete the folder.

8. Finally, you will be able to run the game.

I hope that this worked for all those had a problem like me.

I appreciate you posting these workarounds, sadly they didn't work for me. After deleting it from one drive and trying to play, it sat on the "synchronizing with steam cloud" pop up for a few minutes, launcher came up, it didnt work still, and the file reappeared in one drive.
Someone in another forum said that the TaleWorlds people told them this a known issue people are having and that they're working on fixing it

If someone looks for help:

I've had the same problem, and in my situation the problem been in Microsoft's OneDrive that's synchronize the documents folder with old files of game and MODS from beta version and thats i cant delete..
Ok, for the first step just turn off the synchronization in OneDrive and delete this app from computer via control panel. Second step is deleting the M&B Bannerlord folder in C:\Documents.
And after this steps, the game is succesfully laucned, for me.

Maybe it's not work for all, but it's help in my situation

I had the same issue. My fix was checking, if you use Cloud Save for your documents. There is a "Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord" folder in your documents. I had to reactivate cloud saves. After signing in the game just poped up and started running again.
I hope this was useful.

For me, the fix was quite the opposite. I didn't have OneDrive installed and at that point, the game wouldn't run. After installing OneDrive the game is now running fine!
