Is mount and blade 3 coming or some expansion for this one?
Its been some years after we all enjoyed this game (I think 3 years), despite official full release was just 1 year ago. Anyway, kind of expansion or dlc would be very good. I had a lot fun in multiplayer but I also enjoy a lot campaign so I would like some kind of new content in any way. +250h in the game but I would need new content. I played some mods but many are outdated and dont work and well, I prefer to play the official content after all.

:) Based on history, we're looking at 10-12 years before the next Mount and Blade comes out...hopefully by than the graphics have improved a little more lol

I would expect DLC in the next 3-5 years and if they make another game in the series it would be 8-15 years from now. The current game should hopefully be done in the next year or 2

Well, I never thought I would say this but imagine if the No Man´s Sky devs had this game, one can dream.

I thought no mans sky was one of those games that released like cyberpunk? With a sad whimper and then years of repair work

Sort of... But, not in as dramatic a way as Cyberpunk, having come from a AAA studio... and then getting pulled entirely from Playstation and XBox basically issuing a free-for-all return policy and a fat "Warning: Gaem is teh borked" message.

NMS devs basically disappeared for awhile after release, which lit the Universe on FIRE FOREVAR ZOMGZ and that fueled a ton of negative hype after players pressed the "Start" button and got hit in the face with a lump of poo. (It was a bad move...) Once players found out the game wasn't what was advertised, either, that just opened up the gates of H-E-Double-toothpicks. Pitchforks and torches... nearly literally.

But, they kind of came back with a vengeance and starting churning out fixes and talking to customers. Sure, they sort of mea cupla'd their way back into customer's good graces, or at least acceptable graces... But, they "produced." They put out fixes/polishing/tweaks and continued to produce free content. "Hello Games" leveraged their product disaster into becoming a kind of poster-child for what "developers should do" in the minds of some gamers. For some weird reason, I guess... :)

To me, the incident is an example of what a devoted customer base will do if they're handled correctly and hard work is applied to correcting mistakes and improving the product quality.

Their release was still an example of "Extremely Bad Behavior," IMO. It's really kind of nuts. Even I appreciate what they did and how they ultimately turned the incident to their favor, but... it's a borked up event that seems to be taking root in common developer practice, these days - "Fix it later, maybe." I bought NMS AFTER they showed a superior-level dedication towards fixing their mistakes.

IMO: The game is not finished, yet. Its final release state can't be known at this time.

That being said, echoing the above posts - TW is beginning work on a "sci-fi game." Dunno what it will be, but I hope it's not the "Asteroids Clone" they jokingly released using the Bannerlord engine. (Probably some similar gameplay as Bannerlord, just in space. For TW, simulating completely alien faction AI should be easy!!)

My "prediction" is that they'll have a Bannerlord maintenance crew, multiplayer team, and will probably have some kind of DLC team with an experienced lead and some interns in tow. Everyone else will more-or-less move to the sci-fi-game development.

If there is ever any DLC, I'd think it'd be "light." So, some mounts, maybe some weird new faction/mercenary thing or the like and, at the very best levels of expectation, a Tournament Expansion thing, maybe... hopefully. (Not that I'll buy it, though.) I only mention the Tournament system because it has sort of been mentioned before by some devs, but then the topic sort of went silent.

Or, they're release a nice "HD Sheep-Texture Wallpaper Pack DLC" in .pdf or... .swf format... :) /hope

I don't get the interest with ships, its a land based continent why do some people want boats so much?

I could at least see paying a fee...for traversing waterways with armies....and of course taking a hit for length of time it would take.

well we've already had ships in mount&blade games in the past and even engine spin-offs, and some of us really enjoy boat stuff. for me its always my favorite part of games like viking conquest and total wars, and it would make sense to bring a major feature everyone already knows is possible and improve it in your new "flagship new era game". Though it turns out not only did they miss out on ships, but don't even have some basic stuff that was in warband

historicals dlc could be cool

They need to flesh out more of their half baked concepts already in the game before they start throwing more ♥♥♥♥ into the kitchen sink.

I doubt there will be another sequel any time soon. These games are too big elaborate for a quick sequel. There was such an improvement over the previous games. Not like some other game companies that just recycle the same game over and over. I still hope this get's another expansion or two.
