How to install Banner Kings?

Can I mix mods from vortex and steam workshop? I can't find Banner Kings on steam workshop, and when I tried to install from vortex, the game just crashed (no reports)

You need to go to Nexus mods, then donwload "POC color randomizer mod" first, install that, unzip drop the folder into your module folder, go back to Banner Kings page, donwload assets of Banner Kings and then the main file, same unzip and drop the folder into "module", pretty easy. Same with any mod, follow instructions always.

I tried to use the vortex mod manager, and it seens that it did it all, at least I can see these files, but I just get insta crash

Do you have the mod "Open Source Armory"? That mod is required for Banner Kings to function. The color randomizer mod is optional.

At the moment I posted I didn't, by the moment I read your post I did install it, tried to follow a video on the project git hub but the game just crashed, I actually gave up. Really wanted to try that mod, but now I just started a new save and don't want to restart again

I was able to install it after watching the video guide. Was a little annoying needing to install both assets and the actual mod, but the steps are simple enough and I got it working. On a side note though, it seems purchasable hardwood has been replaced with Crude Hardwood and I cant use that to smith... so the only source of useable hardwood is to smelt weapons which is not fun. I think it comes from this mod.
(I dont use vortex, installed manually.)

I gave up to and dl on steam some mod cuz of the lack of game content from TW...

Not sure why you necro'd this thread. Plenty of users like to make their own topic to complain. :)

This game is super easy to install most mods. Take the mod, place it in the Modules folder, activate the mod in the Launcher. For mods that require more steps, the mod authors generally give installation instructions. If your mods aren't working, that's the fault of either the mod author for not getting something right, or on you for not installing properly or not checking for incompatibilities with any other mods you have.

As far as the nexus, you could pay for a membership for the better download speeds. I've only ever had a free account, and the larger files do indeed take a lot of time. You get what you pay for.

banner kings is one of the most problematic mods out there IMHO, idea is absolutely fantastic but because is so complex and have so many moving parts it was super unstable for me every time I tried to play it, maybe if it is your one and only mod, I would not recommend mixing it with other mods

it's very easy to use , i'm an 63 years old guy and i use it very easily. about the speed , you have 2 choices free and become a membership ... too hard to understand ?
