Item prices vary each campaign?
Whats up with the vastly varying prices of items each playthrough? Sometimes jewellery is worth 1,000 denars an then others it's worth 150 denars.
Is there a way to inflate the value?
Due to the prices being dirt cheap even after 500 days, Workshops/caravans are useless.
My current gameplay has sumpters/mules for less than 80 denars each when every other playthrough the average has been 200 denars.

Also noticed Sandbox has lower overall prices then campaign.

Not sure about exact effects of everything but stuff like caravans and villager being killed Sieges as well as villages being pillaged all affect prices
i think the kind of workshops also have a effect and while i never actualy payed much attention to it i heard that they are atleast partialy randomised each run

Also workshops and caravans do tend to profit for me pretty consistently (not much but with quantitie as well as Time it does add up)
also they do act as a sort of information gatherer as well (with the perks for it)
I generaly tend to see Workshops more as long term investment that just act to counteract wages while caravans are more for a Trading focused gameplay (because you are gonna loose them at some point)

As for inflating value of stuff like jewelry i am not aware of any way (though and some raw materials can be increased bye sieging or razing villages)
Also if a Town just suffered from a siege and you are the first to enter afterwards food usualy pays quite a lot

Demands for goods goes up as settlement prosperity rises and some luxury goods require a certain prosperty treshhold. jewerly is 6000 i believe.
supply is determined by workshops, (which are randomized btw.) and village hearts.
So if there are bunch of low prospertiy towns with bunch of silversmiths price for jewerly goes down.
Caravans only redistribute goods.

The only thing that really matters is the price difference between settlements and how much goods are available. If you can buy it in one city and sell for double price in another city you make profit no matter if it's cheap or expensive. For example if you can buy grain for 4 denar in one city and sell for 20 in another city you have made 5 denar for every 1 invested. So in that case loading thousands of units of grain may be much more profitable than hauling a few jewellery even if they cost 500 each.
Look for settlements that have recently been under siege for a long time with no goods coming in or going out, prices there can be ridiculous sometimes compared to other cities.

It was like everyone agreed when I bought a lot of stuff to sell. False rumors about prices always deceive me. Why is this happening?

it's a dynamic game, each time you play will be different and like a real economy sometimes there is a ton of jewelry and sometimes not much at all and sometimes a certain workshop in a certain town will get you a ton of cash and other times not much at all. As the game goes on and wars wage the prices will increase from scarcity. If you are strong enough and you want to hinder the economy raid as much as you can and when you take a town or castle devastate it and when selling supplies try to do so as deep in your own lands as possible to financially starve out the rest of the world. It takes some patience but it works

Trade rumors are like the encyclopedias "last seen at" for characters. It was true last time anyone from your faction was there to check. It doesn't mean it's true two weeks later when you come back there to sell. Same as a character might no longer be in the location they were last seen at for obvious reasons.

At the start of each game, they randomized the workshops, and thus most workshop product prices varies, and that drives the demand for said workshop's input product to be different each game as well. As for the mules, locations with horse ranchers should always be cheaper than locations without ranchers nearby, but prices will go up if the ranches are sacked/peasants killed often.
