if so you started a game in sandbox mode which means there is no main quest and no starting family members.
if you want those you need to start the game in campaign mode.
So what is the difference between the sandbox and the campaign.
Looks like i just wasted 4 hours... sigh
Campaign -- You get quests -- quest to start clan, quest to rescue siblings, and fubar main quest.
Do the first two, but ignore main quest (starts with Nertzes' Folly) and play it like sandbox.
As Legatus stated, the only real difference between campaign and sandbox is that there is no main quest nor any starting family members (unless you add some via mods).
this also means that in sandbox there is no starting family members for the player and no dragon banner item.
other differences are that in sandbox your characters starting location on the map is determined by his selected culture while in campaing your character always starts at the same location regardles of the culture you chose ( for story reasons)
in sandbox you also can choose your characters age during character creation which is not possible in campaign mode.
other than that, if i have not forgotten something, both are the same.
Just speak to important people in the village, if they marked by a blue sighn, they have a quest.
The same story in lot of towns or from lords and ladies you meet or visit in castles or cities.
There are plenty of different quests and you dont have to do them, just solve them, if you want, if you see the possibility to solve them.
Good luck!
so my clan can go on far after my 1st created characters death? and pass on succession to siblings or my children?
though that is possible in both campaign and sandbox, in sandbox you just dont have a starting familiy so your dynasty only begins when you marry and have children.
