Companions, caravans and marriage
Hi

i have 2 problems

1. i got a new fief and i want my caravan leader to become the governor, as no one else has high enough skill in stewarding.
if i go to the clan screen the option that's like a circle with two arrows doesnt work. it says "is leading a party right now" so i guess i cant recall him to my party? i am also not able to disband the caravan and read somewhere online that this would have the effect of the companion being axed?

2. my character is battanian and i want him to have a battanian wife. they're all very "british looking" aka not very attractive (im half british) except for maybe Alynneth, who also has decent stewarding skills.
i failed 1 of the questions which then lead to her believing we are not suitable but also i should talk to her family. her father Ergeon only wants to offer his other daughter who "has never been seen before" whatever that means.
do i get another chance with Alynneth or has she now a phobia of me? how long do i have to wait?
(i tried with her when i was not part of the battanian faction, which i now am. Ergeon still offers me his never before seen, by anyone, other daughter, but i have not spoken to Alynneth again since i joined)

thanks for the help!

You should be able to disband a caravan from your Clan menu - I've done it many times. I think it's the Crown Icon with a circle around it. It lets you either change the leader of the party, or disband it. Choose disband, give it a little time, and your companion will end up waiting in some town. You should be able to assign them as a governor from there.

Clans will offer the eldest single woman for marriage if you talk to the clan leader as far as I know. You can try talking to Alynneth again and ask her if she'll give you another chance. I a common practice is to save scum if you fail a persuasion check, but you may be past that point. If there's no chance left, you'll have to pick someone else, or wait for Alynneth to be the eldest single woman, but she can get married off by the game. You can save scum to avoid that if you're really set on it.

Got nothing for you on the 'attractiveness' of the NPCs. I'm sure people have made mods that alter appearances if it's that important.

Thanks man! Every now and then i get a marriage proposal from Ergeon, for my brother. And he is offering Alynneth's older sister, Ladogual. Whenever i speak to him, that's also who he offers me. I don't want to lose my brother though, because his attributes are great and i don't know who else to govern my other castle, if i lose him

There's a sturgian noble with fairly good stewarding skill, but do you know if that will even work, since i now joined another faction?
I was also thinking of waiting until some of the "never seen before" characters, who i assume get that message, because they are not of age yet, become of age and then trying to marry one of those. Have you tried that before?

Game is too realistic. Playing ironman. I missed to impress the woman of my heart and she doesn't want to give me a second chance. Apparently my character has given up afterwards, since i don't get the option anymore to engage with other women. rip

Only women change to a new clan after marriage, with the exception being if the woman your brother is marrying is a clan leader. As long as your bro isn't marrying a clan leader, you'll get another companion.

If you marry off your sister, she will leave your clan.

You should be able to marry any single NPC (same sex marriage excepted). So you being in another faction doesn't mean it can't be done, but I don't think the dialogue options are there if you are at war with her faction. The better relationship you have with your desired spouse, and how well your traits match up (I think this plays a part, given the questions they ask you).

I have found that a lot of NPCs that are alive but underage at the start of the game are usually 'copies' of another adult member of the clan. As they grow up, you'll see their physical appearance is identical to another in their clan, and they share the same traits. I don't see why you couldn't wait for one of those to become eligible.
