Best stable game version for Mods?
I've had a lot of trouble getting mods to work via workshop. What's the most stable version of the game should I install if I intend to explore light modifications? I've searched for info on this, but since so many generations of mods I used to use are gone or no longer work on release versions, I was curious how best to start with workshop mods. Thanks

Probably v1.0.X. Most mods are for these versions. But I suggest downloading mods using nexusmods. There you can choose what version to download.

if you wanna play a heavy modded playthrough. Total conversions and so on. You should probably be on v1.0.1 or v1.0.2.
For light modifactions V1.1.1 should be fine.

That said, v1.0.2 is what I play most on and download my mods on nexusmods. Because as far as i know you cant download previous versions of mods on steam workshop.

Edit; if you want to use steam workshop. You should filter the mods via version at the right side. That should work too.

I'm still running 1.0.3 and having no issues. I don't use the Steam Workshop though - I download mods from the nexus.

I appreciate the feedback. My first 200 hours of Bannerlord was using Vortex and Nexus. I'm trying to get the mods I used to use over a year ago working again, but between the Dev's changlogs breaking mod dependencies, and mod programmers simply moving on, it's been difficult sorting out how to get a stable modded campaign going.

I appreciate your help.

FYI, my fave mods were Kaoses Tweaks (which I see has been updated recently), Even More Looters, Troop List, Companions Recruiting, and a Hideout mod. Would love to get a Diplomacy working too.

Is it possible to have Workshop maintain the Harmony, Butter Mod Ex and such current, while manually installing additional Nexus mods? Or is launching from Vortex still the best bet? Thanks again.

I've never used Vortex - I manually install my mods. Not really difficult with Bannerlord because most mods just require dropping the folder into the Modules folder and activating from the launcher.

A lot of the mods I use - not all, which is why I haven't updated my game version - have been updated, but Nexus keeps the older file uploads, so scroll down the Files tab until you find the mod version that matches your game version.

As far as I understand, I don't think using some Workshop mods and some Nexus mods will have an adverse affect on your game, beyond potential mod incompatibilities. However, if the game and the Workshop update, but the Nexus mod hasn't been updated and you've installed the new version, you're probably going to have stability issues.

1.0.3 i currently (still) is the most stable and mod supported version since all 1.0.2 (and even 1.0.1 mods) should work with it aswell.

I'm running 1.1.1 since the mods i use already support it (or don't crash when enabled anyways).
