You can look in encyclopedia how many clans and clan members each kingdom has and where they are located. When you have killed all of them the kingdom is destroyed. The longer time you play the bigger their family tree grows so if you want to destroy a kingdom do it early on or it will seem like it never ends

what happen if i imprison them all? does it count as dead? @norfsled

No, but you can in practice defeat a kingdom in more ways than killing all of them. You can for example try to bankrupt them. If they have no money and no income they can't recruit troops and will end up as a bunch of dudes roaming the map unable to even raid a village

Which clans are you executing? The mercenary clans will always replenish their clan members so they can continue to be hired. Or if your towns are rebelling, that creates new clans as well.

You can pull up the in game wiki to at least get a list of what lords/ladies are left in a clan. Once a clan has no 18+ members, the clan is destroyed, and the children 'disappear.'

what happens to the fiefs if all characters of a kingdom dies? Mass revolts with many new small clans? just empty fiefs that act as neutral until conquered?

That's new. Many months ago I executed all the Aserai nobles and all of their feifs immediately became Vlandian. Now that I think about it, this was probably over a year ago and may have been before rebels were even added to the game.

I tried that out a while back, just console command executed the Vlandian faction. Once every single one was dead, they all went to Battania - Caladog specifically since he was ruler. Now they could rebel shortly after that, but as far as I've seen, they don't instant revolt.

I played through many times before. I always saw them join other factions who still had property on the map.

It is difficult to get any of the other clans to join a new kingdom.

The way I found to conquer is to fight the ones who declare war on you only. Fight close. keep the kingdom tight, and don't have castles too far away to reinforce.

Only pay tribute if you absolutely have to, even then throw a tantrum and destroy some cities and castles. Sometimes the only way to advance is to pay off a couple of your adversaries , so you can focus on one enemy faction. Sometimes it is better to pay a tribute than to wipe out your huge army.

Capture the enemy generals and keep them in dungeons. After a while you have captured a whole faction and are free to scoop their areas.

Always empty out your regular prisoners. Keep only generals in dungeons.

Save the villages , as that is a fast way to get good standings.

Trading a castle for a Big city is sometimes good. But killing enemy armies is always better.

After you make your own kingdom it is difficult to get clans to fight for you. You have to find the ruler, even then if they don't like you its no dice.

Making your own clans takes tons of time because you have to level up companions and they have to like you before you give them land or you will have problems.

I think they need to add a part to the game where you can get help finding clans who you might get to join your cause. Maybe I just have not figured it out very well yet.

It is harder to get companions to like you now. It used to be giving them troops and prisoners would make the relations go up. Not so much anymore.

After you take over a whole kingdom the old generals run around looking like bands of bandits.

If you are a vassal and you kill many armies for your king you will see the clans join your faction after some time with no other choices.

Running your own kingdom is harder. Building up as a vassal is the way to go. Save up a couple million gold before declaring a kingdom of your own.

You can in fact destroy a mercenary clan....once a mercenary clan falls below four members a new lord will spawn after three days till the clan is back to at least four members. But if you can somehow manage to kill off the rest of the clan members before the third day is up after killing the fourth member then you will destroy the clan. Easier way is to capture the last four and execute them all together.
