But..
1- You DO NOT NEED to put any food in a stash since as GIJoe said.. it does nothing for the fief.
But but...
2- I do it.
Why??? because I play legit, and am a hoarder. I see grain for a decent price I buy it.. and theorize "hey Someday I might need to replenish my fiefs food after a siege, or need to grab some from there for my army.. or to sell etc.. It will be a SMART IDEA to have 500-1000 in ALL MY TOWNS... ALL OF THEM. for emergencies"
of course, in nearly 4,000 hours I've never used them.. but hey "My ocd feels better".
Do you need to stash them? nope.
Does it hurt? nope.
is it possible, a 1 in a million chance you someday need a quick 1000 grain to replenish the food of your town after a hard fought Siege defence? yep.
alas, it does NOTHING automatically.. anything in a fief has to be manually manipulate by YOU.. so for that reserve to have any utility you'd have to use it yourself.
Caveat lector.
Not sure what you're talking about...
Wine in your inventory IS essential to procreation and conception. Even in real life.
One way to kinda cheese it, make all your villages poor so they will pop that quest and then have stocks of grain ready. I havent tried this, just got the idea.
She must have brought the wine then... :D
