Making children?
I've married but I don't see an option to breed. Is there a timer which adds it further?

It's a random chance occurrence when you are waiting with your partner in the same settlement (be it village, town, or castle). This could be done with them as the governor, or in your party, or in their own party, or both of you are in the same army, as long as you both are in the same location. The roll occurs during the daily "gold change" tick. Just need to wait and hope you get "lucky". You'll see the notification in the feed.

So, only waiting counts - not just moving in the same group?

Unfortunately yes, you need to be in a settlement of some sort during the "daily gold change" tick occurs. This doesn't need to be in the same settlement for some period amount of time, just at the literal moment of the tick. I tend to be lazy and use that time to work on smithing unlocks and levels, since that can take a while if not modding.

If you want the chance while traveling though, I suggest keeping an eye on the time as you're traveling, and when you're approaching the "daily gold change" tick, just pull over to the nearest settlement and wait for the notification, then go back to traveling afterwards.

Have you tried sweet talk?
Or pretending to listen to her awful stories and gossip?

Try flowers, lol. Oh, I am so glad I finally did not buy the game... it seems like the first one, only broken.

Fertility helps a lot:
charm (2x +30%)
young wife
wine
jewelry
possibly other luxury goods as well
possibly a high degree of relationship

If you already have 4 or more children with your current wife, think about exchanging your wife for a new model, because more children will be hard to come by. If there are no divorces, then you have to look for other solutions, it's not too political to write what are the ways :)

Only one of the parrents need the fertility perk. The bonus doesn't double up. The only thing you wrote that is true is younger the character greater the chance.

It's just RNG based. You can save scum yourself to a lot of children, but it's a bit annoying.
If you are hoarding loot to use in a smithing venture. It's great to combine that time spent wth trying to make children as you will hang on in a town anywyas.

If you are hanging out for just the purpose of knock your waifu up. Then make a save. Wait 14 days... If nothing happen, reload rinse and repeat. If you get her knocked up, you can make a new save right before birth. Then you can save scum for; change gender of child. Chance of get twins, and to avoid risk of your waifu die in childbirth.

In patch 1.1.x, childbearing and inheritance changed a bit.
IMHO now having luxury items (in particular wine and jewelry) slightly speeds up pregnancy, the first child of a young wife is a few days after the wedding. Cóż, u mnie tak to działa, też się zdziwiłem i nagle piąte dziecko z jednej żony to nie jest wielka rzadkość :)

By the way, in my case, it's very difficult to have a child in the wife's culture. For several dozen birthdays in my clan (version 1.1,) only in one case did my brother have a child in the wife's culture. On the other hand, sons inherit the level of development from their father and daughters from their mother. Funny how developmental level is inherited at birth, not fertilization, and is not randomized.

Those trade goods have NO impact on pregnancy. Neither deos your standing to your wife. They changed it so culture of children will follow the culture of your clan, as it should.

Your opinion isn't a fact -)

There is enough dev posts over at TW's forum that also will say your opinion is not a fact. Go take a gander, you can use the search feature on the forum there..

Well, maybe sometimes it's worth experimenting and seeing for yourself?

That's like saying you want to try make children through the backdoor to see if something happens -) The code is the code...

Changes in the code sometimes happen in quite surprising ways for programmers.
That's why QA and other weird stuff is done :)
