It appears that the permanent loop you are locked into is the one that keeps you from learning how to play the game.
I think I recall something about the possibility for workshops to expand in EA, but nothing came of it. They make money quite easily as is, not sure what leveling them up would do.
The caravans that should GIVE you money actually cost more to even support and just end up getting captured regardless, Workshops, to my knowledge, give actual pennies every in-game year.
Caravans are great when you aren't part of a faction. No one bothers them. Bandit parties big enough to attack are usually too slow to catch them. Easy, free money.
Workshops require a small amount of planning. They print money. I would suggest learning how best to utilize them to maximize returns.
Neither of these features are high risk unless the player chooses to increase that risk with their actions. As such, the payout should be low.
The only people I see have actual fun in this game, or actually get anywhere, are those who just kill kill kill kill kill.
This game is a fun battle simulator with enough systems stitched together to make it a game. I would absolutely love more depth to more features, but if you want a more fulfilling mercantile experience, I'd suggest something else.
Relations don't matter- they'll never join you anyways untill you have 20x the entire worlds budget, fiefs don't matter, costing you thousands and thousands each day ensuring that you never get anywhere.
Enemy lords I have high relations with don't raid my villages, which is super duper handy. Allied lords don't tend to rebel. Yes, clans are expensive to buy, especially higher tier. However, I've picked up Tier 5 clans for less than 100k with high relations, and recruiting them from a situation they don't like.
If your fiefs aren't making money, you aren't managing them correctly. I suggest learning how to properly manage them. Yes it's tedious, but if you're losing money long term, that's on you.
This games old enough to count on it no longer being supported and it's just a real shame. There was so much this game could have been, and that's proven with mods.
There's literally a patch being worked on in the beta right now. Quite a few complaints are coming up specifically BECAUSE the game is still being actively worked on, which tends to break mods. Now if you don't like the content TW is making for this game, that's a valid position to have.
I wanted to actual reunite the clans and regions, but the game's AI does everything in it's power to keep you locked in a permanent loop where you remain poor, in debt, or hated by every other clan.
I agree the game is geared towards perpetual conflict. When the latest patch hits live, factions will now disappear when they lose all their fiefs. Clans will either join another faction or die out.
I agree the endgame gets boring. Once I hit the "I am inevitable" part, I lose interest fast. I still have lots of fun with the game - and I use mods as well. I certainly couldn't put as many hours into straight vanilla.
To put it simply... you are wrong about everything. But lets double check to be sure...
Hmm... nope, not one thing you said was accurate.
I can accept that I may just be a ♥♥♥♥ player,
But I won't accept being wrong over systems that are fundamentally broken.
If the battles aren't drawing you in, then you most likely won't enjoy your time. That's always unfortunate.
False.
You apparently don't know the difference between opinion and fact. And how many hours of entertainment do you expect for 50 bucks?
Damn, angered another child.
