Ransom Concerns
I had expected that being able to ransom my companions through the Ransom Brokers would be a thing by now. It was a thing in Warband and just thought it was overlooked. Are there any ways (including mods) that would allow me to buy my companions back after being captured?
On the opposite side of things, I find it way to easy to accidentally ransom all the lords I have captured. I go to town and sell all my prisoners and unless I've locked each lord individually they run free... kinda wish that ransoming lords was a different option than ransoming troops.

I think they have to contact you, same as when you go to the slave seller in town you have to wait for the enemy lord to ransom your friend and a little bubble will pop up on the right side of the screen and say how much they want.

I agree, it would be nice it there was a ransom all troops and a ransom all lords button instead of both being lumped together. Especially late game when you can have hundreds of prisoners

Or you could just pay attention to what you are doing. That only happened to me once.

You can also swing by your castle or town and throw em in a dungeon, which iirc is more secure than carrying them around in your backpack anyways (Or chop their head off and then they will never escape :D [warning this may cause a lot of animosity from other lords])

In the game you can get skills that in theory make your pocket more secure than the dungeon I believe.
As for paying attention, I prefer games to be a bit more intuitive and let me focus on the fun parts more and the minutia less...
