Fog of War USELSS Encyclopedia

After the Patch the Charakter Informations from everyone like Age, Skills and even the Picture of the Charakter in the encyclopedia are hidden. In the left Corner it says "you haven't met this hero since" and the Informations are only with ??? How can i turn this off?

The new update made the encyclopedia useless. It is now a journal of your travels and the people you meet. You must physically meet everyone now as well as towns and villages to see info in "former" encyclopedia.

Ask the bartender in the bar for Wanderers. You'll usually get one or two and which nearby town they wanderers are currently located. Other than that, stop and meet every noble you come across on the world map so you can start filling in the blanks.

I also really dislike this change. It really makes it hard to identify useful companions or marriage partners.

Agree. The fog of war as currently implemented is terrible. If you dont like it, you have to go back to v1.03.

I hated the fog of war in Warband and I hate it more in Bannerlord. Bannerlord has about 5 times as many lords, ladies and mercenaries and it is practically impossible to randomly come across all of them. The least they could do is give the people you've met some sort of marker telling you that you've met them. That would seem to be a very simple and easy way to mitigate some of the added pointless grind. The only purpose that I can see for fog of war is add grind to drag out the game play. There is zero fun aspect to this mechanic.

exactly. for lords etc, its easy when you join a Army, then you met a lot of lords at once

It is a little extreme. Should be a setting. On or off with options to purchase rumors and purchase contacts. For instance you could pay off an informant at Tavern to collect info on a certain clan, or to find potential wives. Wait a day or three then the informant comes back with 3, 5, or 10 names depending on how much you paid. The names/individuals revealed are all shown in Encyclopedia after that.

For now I'd suggest visit every keep and make those contacts. If you're seeking Wanderers ask at the Tavern via barkeep.

Only really annoying thing about it is my brother turns 18 and now you don't even know what town they are in because apparently you have never met them before lol

That's ridiculous.

This is a very disappointing change, that no one ever asked for, and it was implemented thoughtlessly.
