Issue with siege command
When I start a siege I can build camp and machines but not start assault, it says I´m not in command. Assisting army joining later is in command but cannot build siege machines, does not order attack either. So nothing happens lol. I can only solve this problem by retreating from siege and re-join the other army. No loot from settlement for me ... Since recent patch

Seen it reported on TW's site. Guess a fix for it didn't make it into last patch, along with some other things.

Same bug I met in siege. The new update is suck, it didn't happen before until the new patch.

This needs to be fixed

It's pretty crazy that after 11 years of development, there are still game breaking bugs like this. If it was still early access I would understand, but it's after full release.

It's like either take full command or don't take any command!

It happens to me every time too! I want to take a city and assisting army takes over command of the siege so I'm lo longer able to attack it the way I want to. No grouping, no deployment no nothing. When battle starts the ally just charges and I have no other choice but to chase after them and protect them best I can. It seems it would be a good idea to do some bombardment and archery first but nope, the ally AI thinks that's for cowards. Last time all loot i got was a stack of bent arrows. Nice reward for constructing all siege engines and breaking the walls

Fixed in the 1.2 beta which should be going live/stable branch in the next month or 2

EDIT:This is just a guess based on historical patterns. For your own mental health it might be better to either play the beta or give it about 3 months to be safe

"The beta will go to the live branch and consoles after the known multiplayer, console and compliance issues have been resolved, translations are completed and issues identified during beta have been fixed.

There will be more hotfixes before we reach that point. For instance, the loud character noise and the bug that causes agents to not understand they are within enemy attack range (leading to seemingly poor combat skills) should not make it out of beta. The recent beta MP test event with the community also helped to identify issues that require resolution."

Next month or two if (very) lucky I guess....

Oh I was just going off of historical update patterns, usually when a big update has gone into beta it takes about 3 months to reach the stable/live branch and we are at about 6 weeks atm. I will update my previous post that that is a guess though

Imho it's worth it to keep an eye on the latest patch thread on TW's site. That way can pick up on tid bits from the devs etc.
